I forget which author I've read who posed the theory that Ascendant-Ascendant Synastry is a stronger indicator of personality compatibility than that of Sun signs, but does anyone have thoughts on this?

My ex-boyfriend, who is my roommate of 4 years now, has his ASC conjunct my ASC by 1 degree and 30 minutes. There's a lot more details of course, strong Saturn contacts, but we are strictly plantonic now and we get along GREAT as room mates, like brother and sister.

I've been bumping into information about ASC being conjunct in synastry also, I just can't remember where. If I come up with it, I'll post it here.

Our MC's are also 1 degree apart.
