Can anyone tell me what is better to have in a couple's synastry...sextiles or trines?

What is the difference between them?

Thanks Azalaksh, I just checked out the link. Very informative!

I guess specifically I was wondering what the difference is in the way these aspects "feel" in relationship.

Is the sextile just more energetic and the trine is more smooth and mellow?

That's *exactly* how I feel about the sextile and trine aspects
The 60-degree link seems to "excite" more energy between the planets/signs involved than the trine, in my own experience.....
Possibly because -- generally speaking -- the trine is the same element whereas the sextile is generally between Fire/Air or Earth/Water. The 3rd/6th harmonics are also -- generally, barring out-of-sign connections -- going to be the same vibration: ie, Yang/Masculine/Day/Positive or Yin/Feminine/Night/Negative.
The 2nd/4th etc harmonic (opp, sq) is between different elements and different vibrations, bringing a much bigger challenge in interaction of the planets/signs.....

waning,waxing 12th harmonic aspects correlate with the 12 signs of the zodiac

waxing sextile - Gemini
waning sextile - Aquarius

waxing trine - Leo
waning trine - Sagittarius
