Triple G:Is this the Aquarius guy you just started dating? If so - and I may be butting my nose in, but that's what I do usually - maybe consider NOT getting him a gift for Valentine's day? What if you get him one and he hasn't gotten you one? Then he might feel awful. Or what if he feels like you're assuming too much of the relationship as you've gone to the trouble of getting him a gift? Some people consider Valentine's Day a day for long term, committed lovers. Just my two cents, FWIW. IP: Logged |

Best V-Day gift?Don't celebrate it! Ignore that it was ever a holiday to begin with. That would be an awesome gift. IP: Logged |

I'm going to stick with my position. Many men would be made most uncomfortable if the woman gives them a gift and they have nothing for her in return. No, Hippichick, I don't believe that you give a gift in order to get one in return. I believe you may have missed my point. If I were Triple G, and I could not resist having gotten the Aqua a small V-day gift, I would only do so if you were already sleeping together. Otherwise, you might look like you're presuming too much about the relationship. IP: Logged |

Well, I feel bad about not getting him at least a small gift. And I don't expect one in return. He sent me a huge bouquet of roses and lilies in a beautiful crystal vase yesterday. (He made it a point to say they are not for Valentine's Day, because he doesn't believe in the Hallmark holiday, but they are just because he missed me) He has a lot of trouble sleeping at night, so I was thinking to get him one of those sleep sound machines. haha. What do you think? Bad idea?

LOL...Yes you were right AcousticGod, he is anti-Valentine's Day.But I still feel like I need to get him a gift. He sent me flowers saying they were not for the holiday, can't I get him a gift and say the same? IP: Logged |

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I ended up choosing not to give him a gift for Valentine's Day. Instead, I ended up bringing him an assortment of different asian liquors for us to try together, and a bottle of nice champagne. IP: Logged |

Hippi C,You don't get my humor!!! I know what he meant by V. LOL. Triple G: way to go, and glad to hear he got you flowers. So he's not a totally insensitive cad. IP: Logged |

LOL...no, he's not a complete insensitive cad...yet. We will see. The very strange thing is that he is so affectionate. He is always holding my hand, hugging me, putting his arm around me, touching my hair, and this is in public! He is much more affectionate than I am. I hear that this is uncommon in an Aqua. He is a Capricorn rising too, which is not supposed to be that affectionate either. What gives? Anyways, Thursday was the best Valentine's Day I've ever had, and the funny thing is we didn't even do anything except watch TV, and talk. IP: Logged |

I know the thread's long over, but this could also very well apply to his birthday considering it WAS just Aqua b-day time An Aquarian co-worker got the following from his wife for his birthday: Being an avid golfer, his wife gave him this electronic 'thingy' for playing golf. Couldn't tell you what it did exactly. He thought it was a great gadget however. He loves pictures of space! Big surprise, eh? His wife got him a HUGE book of photos of space. He used his hands to describe the size of the book - it must have been 3 feet wide. He was ecstatic about it! I loved the way he described these things in his cool, detached demeanor. Sigh. I love watching Aqua men. IP: Logged |

Wow, GGG!My ex was an Aqua Sun, Cappy rising and Scorpio Moon. He only showed affection when we were alone. Well, he DID kiss me in front of house goodbye though. What is his Moon in? IP: Logged |

I always appreciate any kind of gift...But remember, Aquas are un-conventional, so a gift for Arbor Day would go over quite well.... For my birthday, the Cancer sun/Cappy mooner got me a seed-pearl necklace with a silver shell on it. Perrrrfect! (and I got it about a week after the day, which was like having another birthday!!) GGG, Aquas and Gems are a great match... the talking will never get old... IP: Logged |
