Does anyone believe in Love at First Sight? I was travelling abroad two weeks ago, and I met a man through some friends over there. We were all having dinner, discussing some topic or another, and I looked at him while he was speaking, and BAM! I had this overwhelming feeling that I was in love with this man. I've only known him for about 20 minutes. This has never happened to me before, and is really strange. I am way too practical for the whole Love at first sight thing, which is why this is so wierd for me.We spent 2 amazing days together, talking and hanging out just the two of us. Then I had to travel back home. Ever since then, I can't stop thinking about him, it's utterly crazy, and is upsetting me that I am wasting so much time thinking about someone I will probably never see again. We haven't contacted eachother since, but he's in my thoughts everyday. I met him the day after the eclipse that happened at the end of February. Maybe that messed with my brain a little bit. Does anyone here think love at first sight is real, and even possible? Are there actual astrological aspects that influence this feeling of love at first sight? Thanks in advance for any input. There is no such thing as LOVE at first sight. There's lust at first sight or attraction at first sight or even falling in love at first sight, but love itself takes time in order to develop/evolve into what it is.. love.IP: Logged |

AS a matter of fact..i also believ in love at first sight. It exists and itīs possible that you really love someone when you see the other "the 1st time"...if you believe in reincarnation then you know and its natural for you that the ones you loved in the past, will meet you again in some other life. Then,itīs natural that if you meet someone with whom you feel an instant conection with, a powerful and deep one, that itīs at the same time strange and wonderful,so LOVE is possibly there.

Yes, that's how it was...like I recognized him, and just loved him, even after knowing him only a few minutes. I read that people have a group of soulmates, that could be friends, family, etc too.So love at first sight is kind of like recognizing someone you have loved in a past life. You feel that love again for them. I definitely feel a familiarity. It's wierd because when we spent time together, even though it was only for 2 days, we laughed so much. THe kind of laughing that comes from deep in the stomach, the soul even. Laughing so hard that it makes your whole body convulse and gasp for air, that it's almost painful. Then days later, even weeks, when you think about that moment again, you laugh, just like the first time. It was so special to me. He lives in a different country, so obviously any future together is impossible, which makes me sad, but I'm grateful for having even those 2 days with him. I can't seem to get him out of my thoughts,(and I've tried!) and he's in my dreams at night. Lara, how lucky you are that you get to be with the man you fell in love with "at first sight!" That is amazing! I wish you both everlasting, and eternal love! IP: Logged |

I never believed in it until I met the man I am in love with right now 6 months ago...It was not just the instant "i want to do you now" feeling, but also that RECOGNITION, where do i know you from? instantly clicked. it was bizarre and we are developing what we have now.. i love it IP: Logged |

Being/Falling in love is slightly different from loving someone. IP: Logged |

Since my awakening, I always clearly recognize my next lesson. I've fallen in love with every lesson so far (lovers, my daughter, some friends). Is that love at first site? I think it is.And I always get that feeling that "something's about to happen" that's BIG. I feel that way now. For a couple/few weeks. Marianne Williamson says that women can sense their beloved's arrival and they begin to prepare for the moment. Things in my life are really falling into place. It's like I am being given the chance to revisit the past and do things the best possible way or realize the way I did them was the best possible way at the time or as it should be or.... and I get to see that my view of how things were was not necessarily how things actually were... I can see the love so clearly. It's a trip thank you God. Anyway... I believe.

I believe that it is possible for some people to experience deep and abiding love at first sight, especially if they have strong Neptune/Pisces influences, or outer planet influences in general. It seems to me that we are all connected in soul, and none of us are really all that different from the others. So, if you are attuned to these soul levels, then, when you meet someone who is on a truly similar wavelength, it would be evident in a matter of minutes, or even seconds; because true love is a chemical reaction, and, if the potential for it is there, then all you would really need to do is put the two people in direct proximity to each other. I think that, if two people are highly intuitive and highly compatible, then, when they enncounter each other for the first time, it would feel as if they had known each other all their lives. At least, I have heard of things like this. And maybe they are just legends, but they make sense to me, and it makes me feel good to believe in them. IP: Logged |

I believe in love at first sight, but its more preferable if it is reciprocated, which I hope it is in your case. Best of luck.IP: Logged |

GemGemGem, Augentier,You both mentioned the 'recognition' factor which I have also experienced once in my life so far and it was definitely love at first sight, from my side at least. I've never found out what he felt. So my question would be, did your loved one have the same experience? Also fell in love at first sight and experienced that 'recognition'. Very, very curious to hear more about your experience. Many thanks! IP: Logged |

In the seventh grade, in homeroom class, I looked over and saw him, and now eight years later I still can't put my finger on what it is he DID to me. It was like he pervaded my Being. WHY? why should it be that I am so obsessed with this person still? Everytime I see a deep green, I feel closest to him... the few times we actually spoke, it was like we had to be rude to define each other's personal boundaries, GOD GOD GODD... what was it about him? His smile and face was like watching everyone in the world rolled into one sense-making and yet eternally mysterious package, I instinctively knew that if I touched him I would get swallowed into, into what??? And time... time was... it was eternity and yet not there... and yet I don't understand, I don't know what to call it! I wouldn't call it love, because it was (is) also an extreme hate. I would like to understand why this person affected me so, and why I still feel like a battery that runs off of knowing that his mind is all the universe just like mine... I feel like I'm an insane obsessive person sometimes, but whenever I picture him and wonder what it was that makes him so special, I can't see it or describe it but I feel it. Pushed as I feel I am to be away from him and around only other people, i feel like I'm on a treasure hunt for any glimmer of a piece of diamond in people that was also in his eyes... holy crap nothing inspires me like the thought of him does...I am so insane... This is the first time I've spoken about this. In highschool I told my friends that I had a crush on him, but I never told them how psycho it really was to me. For the longest time I have wanted to forget about him, but I also have an inexplicable fear and aversion to forgetting him. Is it because I fear that it will start over from the 'shocking' and psychedelic beginning when I see him again (because something assures me that see that him again I will, even though right now I feel (see?) him all cut up and in every person)? I want to feel sane, I want to be a soul sell-out and forget how deep things can go... and at the same time I won't let myself. It's a constant battle within myself and I can't win or lose! I don't know what I believe, especially according to love and souls and the self, but I doubt that the truth can fit in a box oh my god what does it all mean?!! IP: Logged |

I wish I could say he felt the same, but it looks like I will never know. He's moved across the globe to a country so far away, I can't even imagine trying to contact him. I feel like with him being there, and me being here, a future is impossible, so why even bother. The first time I saw him, he was a groomsmen in my best friend's wedding, I was a bridesmaid. I didn't even "see" him then. The second time I saw him,(a few weeks ago) he walked through the doorway of my now married best friend's house, and our eyes met, and I felt it. As soon as he started talking, I felt like I knew him, and I loved him. I guess I will never really know whether he felt the same, but I believe if it's meant to be, it'll be. If he wanted me, he knows where to find me. I think about him everyday though, and my heart smiles. I am now a believer in love at first sight, even though it was technically the second time I saw him! IP: Logged |

GGG - i have had a similar experience and i also do not believe in love at first sight. i do not feel it is lust at all, since even with the overwhelming feelings his nearness seems to "switch on" in me, i am not thinking about sleeping with him - but the desire to be near is very hard to resist. but the fact that you live in distant locations means nothing to what can happen. like you said, if its meant to be it will but that doesn't mean you can't maintain contact of whatever sort makes sense...maybe this is a uranian thing and maybe it is just a wakeup call to your emotions? but in my own case i expect it to continue in installments with gestation periods in between...for now anyway! Same here! It wasn't exactly love at first sight. we were classmates. I also didn't "see" him until one day he sat close to me.One look and in just 5 seconds I realized I loved him. It's been years since then and I still can't forget him although we live in different cities ... So, I do believe in love at first sight, at the very first time you notice, not just see, someone ...IP: Logged |

Hi PlutoPrincess! Welcome to Lindaland, this is a wonderful place What would you say kept you two apart? I still don't understand why it should be that my obsession and I were never in an actual relationship and yet it still seems realer than the real ones I've had IP: Logged |

GemGemGem,Regardless of what the reason is behind what you feel, it is definitely a recognition of something on a deeper level. I have had people come back into my life when I thought that it couldn't happen. I'm sure that if there's something left unresolved between the two of you on a spiritual level, his moving to another planet couldn't keep you apart! Maybe your friend has an e mail address that you can contact him at? Stranger things have happened... 8th HSC IP: Logged |
