I've been single for a few years now and while I didn't mind, even welcomed it , I nolonger do. plus I have become aware of patterns in my behaviour where men are concerned and who I fall for, basically if they are unavailable or unsuitable in some way I'll fall for them, also I tend to go for younger or older men, never my own age. So is there anything revealing in my chart and if this draught will end soon?

Birth data ( sorry can't seem to post my chart) is 18/10/79 birmingham England, between 10pm and midnight ( parents can't remember exact birth time)

Hi Juno you were born on the same day as me but a year older! Its slightly annoying that you don't have your exact birth time because according to those times you could be either Cancer or Leo Ascendant. If you are Leo asc that would explain why you like younger men, unsuitable because Aquarius rules the 7th house. Although a Cancer ascendant and therefore cappy on the 7th would explain your attraction to older men. Anyway with libra Sun and Moon (according to those times you gave) you really need relationships to feel complete. I can understand that you no longer want to be single. Let me add that with Libra sun and Moon you won't stay single for long though you are right to assess the kind of relationships ypu are attracting because mars square Uranus in your chart says that these men can be downright non- commital and erratic emotionally, blowing hot and cold. Also venus square Mars suggests that you could be quite ok with this as you can blow off steam yourself, you have a strong temperament and can sometimes put the wrong message out attracting something that you want for that time, but not something you would want for the long term. Perhaps you could ask friends how you usually approach men and what signals you are giving off. Part of you enjoys the excitement of dangerous liasons and there is a dark side to you that longs for the intensity that comes with the start of relationships and does not always sustain throughout as the relationship deepens.
Jupiter is transiting either in your 7th house or just approaching it which says the opportunity to find Mr right is just around the corner possibly even within the year. Also Venus is progressing to your natal Neptune so keep a reality head on your shoulders and remain grounded about love affairs coming up. Your progressed Moon has just finished back at its natal place so it's probably just recently that you have decided that it's time to get serious about a relationship, and it's about to progress further to your sun/pluto conjunction suggesting soulmate potential. It is around the corner Juno. look out for athletic guys and don't worry about attracting an older or younger man he could be the one. What you could do now is start writing a list say 100 things (I know it's alot but it will get you thinking)you want in your ideal man and leave it for the universe to bring him to you.

Juno I felt compelled to respond only because I can really relate to your situation. Although our birth data is different I too have been single and that was fine. But now all the men I attract are unavailable and can't seem to figure out why this is happening.
Quinnie or someone else could you look at my chart and see if there is something there as well. I can't post my chart either, data is 8/8/73 Los Angeles,CA 9:10 am.

From a non-astrology point of view, I'd say just try to fall for men that are available.

Weird, or unhelpful...I know. What I mean is to start chewing gum, while you're trying to quit smoking.

There has to be something that gets your attention more strongly from a guy that has a SO that does not do it for you when he's single.

Can anyone reccomend something from the real world to handle this? Like a book that talks about wanting what we can't have, or whatever? I think this would be far more helpful than looking for an astrological solution (unless, by an amazing fluke, you quote some insightful astrologer! most of them are/were trying to be popular/make a buck, and did not give more than hints and snippets of worthwile advice)

I have not had a relationship for 12 years... since a bad marriage ended. I believe I am destined to be alone. Which is sad because I am a loner chick and have always longed for that one close connection with someone.

Well it is not just the taken problem that happens, it can be other reasons as well. I don't fall for people because of the problems, I find out about the problems afterwards, hence my interest in the possibilty my chart ect might reveal why this happens.

I'm doing the list Quinnie! As I said either younger or older, if I like some one my own age it is very rare. Thanks for taking a look

You've got one thing in common with me and that is a mercury/mars square, bet tyou like debateing and men who are intellingent and good conversationalist! Also you have moon square venus which in 3rd and 11th house respectively...do friends sometimes take advantage of you? or do you get problems between siblings and friends? I'm sure I read somewhere about Moon/venus squares having probs in relationships. Other than that I can't help hun, but thanks for posting and you're a saggie Moon, I love saggie moons...well I always seem to get on well with them!

Thanks Juno for looking at my chart. I will agree that I absolutely love men who are intelligent and great conversationalist. Although that tends to be a hard combination to find. I absolutely love having debates and talking about everything and anything. Siblings do cause some problems. Can you tell me more about the mercury/mars square and whethere that would cause problems developing love relationships? I am a novice when it comes to astrology. Thanks again for your reply.

I can tell you about my merc/mars square, my mercury also conjunct uranus which is squaring my mars at a wide orb. I don't know if it hinders relationships anymore than any other, it does mean I enjoy debate and sometimes people take that as arguing and I do tease, not cruelly I must add, but I have a habit of justing not quitting when I should I occassionally, it is like I want to get a rise out of someone...however this is only with people I'm close to! I'm very polite with the rest of the world. You probably like men who can stand up to you and are comfortable in there own skin, men who bully turn me off but I only ever seem attracted to strong men. This is odd as I don't deem strength as all that important, it is more an unthinking preference.

In your natal chart Pisces rules the 7th house. Pisces is not the most reliable of signs, it's a mutable suggesting that you like mystery in a relationship, mysterious people who don't offer commitment straight up but require you to sacrifice many things for them. Uranus will be transiting the house and will awaken for you relationship issues and you will find a freedom and for a time feel very comfortable with being single, it's not the greatest transit for starting a relationship but great for roomantic encounters, exciting love affairs and electric chemistry.
Neptune your 7th house ruler is in Sagittarius 3rd house so you want a guy with intelligience, not just wit but spirituality. You could infact find someone online or at a course, even around your neighbourhood.
You have subtle ways of communicating which can go un noticed by certain types so ideally you shoudl look for a man who is able to read your body language as well as words.
Venus in the 12th house is where you could be getting problems. In this house planets influences are hidden and Venus here can cause complex situations inlove like the unavailable man. this isn't helped by the Moon in 3rd house square to it. You are a Sagittarius Moon, full of humour and you can laugh your way through anything, you know you will be fine with regards to relationships. I think you are going through a hard time though and it's point is to evolve you. Pluto is in your first house with a wide conjunction to your ascendant, you have the staying power, the inner strength to see through the unavailable type so what's stopping you?

Pluto has moved from Sagittarius to Capricorn and I really get a feeling it's causing huge change for lots of people. The influence of Pluto in Capricorn seems to have a very serious feel to it. At the moment pluto squares your natal pluto so you have some soul searching to do, it's in the first house of appearance and first impressions, if that means anything to you for in this area Pluto wants you to reflect within for the answer you are asking for.
