I just found out that I have a Venus in Gemini and that my husband has a Venus in Virgo. That explains a lot to me about why we do not jive in the love, romance, and communication department. He is fine with none or almost none of that and I need soooo much more. Anyone else with this experience? IP: Logged |

Hi A Peaceful Cancerian (pretty name) hmmmm have you checked out the degrees of both venuses? There are plenty of other aspects that can explain different types of communication. I'm also a Venus in Gemini, and if you're like me, talking is a big part of romance. Maybe he doesn't realize he's not being demonstrative, but I'm sure he feels the same intensity you do
This from cafeastrology.. check out the combinations too. http://www.cafeastrology.com/articles/venusmarscombinations.html IP: Logged |

I'm a Cancer and I also have Venus in Gemini. I need a lot of attention, affection, constant stimulation or I get bored. I love to talk, talk, talk!IP: Logged |

Your experience with your husband sounds a lot like experiences I've had.I myself really cannot figure out people with Venus in Gemini...seriously... This is coming from a person with Venus in Virgo. Like for one thing, all the Gemini Venus people I know get sucked into (US/Western) materialism more than most, and have a need for cool and trendy things/clothes/experiences. Guys need to live the 'Entourage' lifestyle. Girls need to live the 'Sex and The City' lifestyle. Man I could go on and on...(btw, I really do want to understand the motivation for this...I know on some level all of the placements make sense...like...what the h$ll are they trying to fulfill?) Also forgot to mention, ditto on what Taurus said...you can see if there's an actual square between Venus in your charts. Also after reading my post...haha...I want to say that I tend to be attracted to Venus in Gemini types, so I really want to understand them as I'd better understand myself, I think. Kissher I am just like what you have described. I love things to be interesting and exciting with lots of open converstaion. My Cancer Sun makes me want to retreat from it all at times but mostly I like conversation, interesting experiences, and fun. I am picky and prefer to have experiences that are a little more "contemporary". That is true. My problem is that my husband acted like a Venus in Gemini until we got married and then he turned into a quiet very uncommunicative Scorpio with a Venus in Virgo........and here I am.IP: Logged |

i'm a Venus in Gemini, Sun Gemini, Mercury Cancer. i agree with the communcation level of romance. plenty of and thank you. i don't, on the other hand, understand the whole "sex in the city" theory on Venus Gemini's, but maybe that's because i would like to stay away from such a typical standard on women in general. also, how unoriginal can one be? Pff. (i.e. i think of myself as a Peter Pan type, with childlike enthusiasm and mad verbal skills) love needs to be exciting; in that it should be playful, full of life, and smokin; ALL OF THE TIME! none of this, "how would you like some rosese, then we'll get married, make babies, some dinner perhaps, and watch our life fly by?!" "um, no. how bout we don't." chuckles, and constant movement [and the occassional super romp in the sack, of course] make my heart strings ping. i mean, IT'S LOVE MAN, make it burn with varitey! experience, experience, experience......... Sag/ASC co URA/Sco 12th Gem/SUN co DSC/Gem Tau/MOO se MER Can/MER sq JUP - SAT & op NEP Gem/VEN op NEP/Sag & tr PLU/Lib Tau/MAR tr JUP - SAT Lib/JUP co SAT/Lib 10th
just trying it out to see what it looks like. oooou, pretty (= IP: Logged |

venus in gemini-sun in cancer. i love to talk, especially during love making. HA. This is funny-but my so has venus in virgo also. I think that is a very elegant place to have your venus. They are definately not showy in affection though. And you are correct, venus in gemini likes CONSTANT stimluation (verbal or whatever).IP: Logged |

That is so true about elegant all of the Virgo MEN that I have known have had an elegant feel to their personalities. The Virgo women that I am friends with are more motherly and caregiving. The Virgo men - cold(ish) but elegant. You can imagine them as museum currators or owning antique shops.IP: Logged |

Well Im a cancer sun/ gemini venus and thast a new one Ive never heard before. I can assure you Ive never been too into the sex and the city lifestyle. I mean, yeah I like to buy nice things for myself and chill with the girls but Im a bit more Nelly Furtado in her folkmusic stage.....jay kay!
But to the poster in general, I was with a acorp but he had a libra venus so I cant really relate to your experience, sorry! But in general I do think the venus in gemini/venus in virgo dynamic does play some role. I mean like the others said, we as comunication, comunication, and all sorts of other mental stimulation. Venus in virgo is tough since they are mercurial like us and enjoy mental what-nots but they also happen to be feminine, hence no need to talk in love......thus creating problems. On the bright side theyre still analytical?
I guess I, myself, have never had problems with venus in virgo peeps coz my moon also happens to be in virgo....hehe. Have you looked to other aspects involving venus and other planets? Or the fifth house, DC, DC ruler?
