Why did I always feel this way- even as a child?

Did I start to miss the comfort and bliss of my babyhood as I grew?

Is it a yearning of some forgotten place of long ago, before we came here?

Humans weren't always like they are now. They had 1 head with two faces, 4 hands, 4 feet. Actually they were 2 people in one body. But they became arrogant and ungrateful, for they thought they could do anything. So God decided to punish them and split each of them in two people, like we are today.
Ever since then, humans are condemned to search for their other half, what you call "soul mate" ...

just wanted add some thoughts, becuase i had similar feelings. i not only felt im a half person, but also that im soo alone in this world, even though being surrounded by a nice family and friends.

Then i got know a guy who has totally changed my life...im learning so much from him.

Im sure he's a close soulmate of mine, cause in him i found my missing other half, and so much more.

But, and its very important, that he also a mirror of me, and so he always makes me explore new perspectives about my personality.

Because he makes me understand, that we have to find our other half in ourselves, and NOT in someone else.

He helps me to realise, that many things i've found in him, i can and should find in myself as well.
Thats the way he makes me feel that im a complete person.

And it requires friendship, love and trust in a very deep level...

i've got this feeling that you and me are dealing more or less with the same issues. it's like with mannu, i could talk (and listen) to you for hours and would still have plenty of things to talk about. maybe we are soulmate. hehehe.

LTT, i FEEL your yearning.
all i can say is that this missing part is a gift. you are given an opportunity to never forget...
we all need someone that could understand us. but when we have already committed ourselves to the very source of love itself, there isn't a human that can fill that gap.

LTT,
I know exactly what you mean.
I have lots of family members and friends that love me and I love in return. I just always feel this tug at my soul, a longing for someone or something that is just out of my sight or grasp. I always feel a bit home sick and bittersweet, even when wonderful things are happening in my life.
You know the feeling that you have just as the sun has set and it is truly twilight, I think I was born feeling like that.
I ache in my soul for something/somewhere/someone It eludes me.
