We often forget how important words of love are to each other and how much we neglect expressing these sentiments. Please add any beautiful and inspiring words of love for friends and family (your own words, poetry, music, stories, whatever) to this thread. God Bless you all.  From a FWD I just received... Do all your friends know you love them?
I was thinking...I could die today, tomorrow or next week,
and I wondered if I had any wounds needing to be healed,
friendships that needed rekindling, or three words needing to be said.
Let every one of your friends know you love them. Even if you think
they don't love you back, you would be amazed at what those three little words and a smile can do.
And just in case GOD calls me home before I see you again......

Mystic, this is so right. We really only have "now". Listen to me, "EL Cautious One"  Just call me snail. But I'm going to do what you said. I called a very good friend of mine earlier today because I haven't heard from her and we are really close even though we are several hundred miles apart. She has been going through a tough time and I wasn't sure if she was avoiding her true friends because we all care so much about her. At any rate, I called to tell her that I love her, and she is in my heart and prayers and that I am here for her. I told her NOT to call me when she knows I'm not home (at work) because I need to hear her voice, not a voice message. (She does that sometimes when she doesn't want to talk, but at least acknowledge the phone call.) I am going to copy and paste this to send to her. Thank you for sharing this! IP: Logged |
