I was driving out to get something and I hoped that the journey would give me a sign.

So I went. There were yellow butterflies all over but that was all.

Then, on the way back, I crossed a South Indian wedding. ( He is South Indian and I live in north India so south indian weddings are not a common sight) . I smiled to myself but did not take it seriously.

I was standing at the next red light. It was hot and I was all bothered by the heat, the dust and the traffic. As the light turned green and I crossed, I glanced up to see a board with a photo of Balaji, a famous South Indian deity whose temple is in a place very close to the native village of this man.

And then I turned and on the board next to me, one of those steel boards that are placed near construction sights, someone had scratched in big hindi letters- I love you.

Man! I forgot the heat, the dust, the honks of the irritaed passengers and just drove home smiling to myself like a fool.

Two days later, the edge seems to have gone off the 'sign' and having received very little response from my guy, I am starting to doubt if I am misreading this as a sign.

Let me know what you all think. Does it resonate? Sound true? Sounds like a false hope? Anything.

just one point of advice - when you become aware of the universe talking to you like this. trust the signs and that it's working out for you - even if things happen in ways that are different to how you expect. just trust the signs but don't become hooked on needing to see them all the time. trust what is given you.

it's just a matter of determining what It is saying. Is the message "I, the Universe, Love you, and always remember that... someday you will also experience a holy union..." or is it Bob Smith of 123 S. Street St. loves you and you two will be married!

I've found that each guy is an aspect of God and an aspect of the energy I am looking to understand and integrate into myself. If you really want to know how long he is supposed to be in your life and teach you... ask how long... but only if you really want to know the answer.

Peace Angel..you're right. I also tell myself to not become dependent on receiving signs all the time.And to trust what I am given. Infact, that should be my facebook status message... (me) will trust what she is given. :-)

Unity huh? Sounds good. Yes.when its written in five foot letters you can't really miss it, can you? The ' I love you' I saw was huge too...and just a head turn away.

Infact, I distinctly remember another very very clear sign a few years back. I believed myself to be in love with this guy who I was driving all the way to a suburb to meet (when it shd have been the other way round..for his work) and a carrier van crosses me. And on the back of this van, in big bold letters is written his name. And a few inches below. Keep Distance. I knew it was a sign although I didn't want to believe it then. Time proved the sign right. He only wanted me to do some work for him.

But you gotta love the universe for trying. :-)

Mystic Melody. I know you're right. At the end of the day it is not about this one particular guy, it is our relationship with our own selves and our spiritual growth.I know. I know. But like Alice in Wonderland, I give myself very good advice...but I seldom follow it.

So for now I'll blow some kisses back to you all and the universe. And keep on dreaming. Sigh.

I totally agree. Sometimes you most certainly look for what you want to see.

I've had examples of where the angels have co-ordinated something so intricate and if i hadn't let go of what i wanted previously and had faith, I might have stoppped it.

It's amazing when something falls into place.
