http://www.bobmarksastrologer.com/relationshipdavidson26.0.htm There is a separate horoscope for the two of you and it was discovered by Ronald C. Davison. This chart shows what happens to the relationship as a whole. The Davison horoscope (sometimes called the Relationship horoscope) is set up for the midpoint between two birth dates, times, and places. The birth date midpoint is difficult to calculate by hand because a year isn’t even. It has 365 1/4 days. And then, of course, there is the matter of leap years. But don’t worry. There are several computer programs to do the math for you. We can also calculate a Composite of the two individual horoscopes. Composite charts must always be referred to as charts because they are not true horoscopes. A composite is constructed by finding the midpoints between the two birth horoscopes. For instance, the midpoints between the two Suns, the two Moons, the two Mercurys, etc. The house cusps are found by calculating the composite Mid-Heaven and then using that to find the rest for a particular latitude. One thing I don’t like about composite charts is that the Ascendant you get by this method is usually different than the one you get by simply finding the midpoint of the Ascendants in the two birth charts. So which one do you use? And which latitude do you use when figuring out the house cusps? These things have never been determined with any accuracy. Many astrologers use both the Davison and Composite charts when giving a relationship reading. I have found the Davison horoscope to be more accurate overall. IP: Logged |

Plutoprincess, can you use the Davidson chart for natal zodiacs? I looked on astrodienst but couldn't the option in the extended chart selection. Which website did you find it on?Another really interesting chart is the draconic one. I went to a class a while ago and the teacher said that she had found really interesting correlations with it in families, appearing again and again. She said that the natal chart gives us insight into our journey in this life, whereas the draconic chart gives an "x-ray view" into our soul's journey. IP: Logged |

Yes, right under the composite charts you can click on DAvison charts. So, which one have you found more accurate? Composite or Davison?

Hi, sorry to intrude upon your thread. Can anyone interpret our Davidson chart? I can't get anyone to look at our regular synastry so I thought I'd try this one. IP: Logged |

How do you see the chart of Davidson plus the transits?i dont see that option on Astrodienst... One question: DD, if we try to use the Draco for the Davidson or Composite, what would we get? Maybe the relationship Chart of past life relationship between the two?And by comparing to it each natals,we could see how that past life is influencing each others behaviour in the relationship? What do you think? Of course,we only do this assuming we believe in Reincarnation ( which most of us do i think) IP: Logged |

i find the davison chart confusing - for this reason: the person i did it with has moon conj my moon - in the chart the moon comes out almost directly opposite - does that make sense? several of the other placements (notably sun and NN) are identical to the composite, but this moon thing is weird - it also puts saturn conj moon, whereas we are both sat opp moon people!IP: Logged |

Katatonic, the reason for this is that the DAvison is a real chart unlike the composite, which is not a real chart. The question is: does it make sense to say that the middle between two birthdays tell us something about the relationship between two people? But actually that is the same question we could ask regarding the composite. What does the midpoint of the same planets in different charts really say? Everyone agrees (or at least seems to) that the sign placements of midpoints don`t say anything at all, and still we interprete the composite planets in signs (and they are nothing but the middle between the longitude of two planets). Does that make sense? Diandra,
I guess the Draco composite would say something about the karma of a couple or the soulcontract of a relationship rather than only the two people involved. IP: Logged |

I've actually looked at the Draco composite before and I found some very compelling aspects:Draco Comp (my) name asteroid conjunct my natal Vertex DC (his) name asteroid conjunct his natal Vertex and Moon DC Valentine conjunct his natal Descendant DC Venus conjunct my natal Descendant DC Venus conjunct his natal Merc and Neptune DC Neptune conjunct my natal Valentine DC Pluto conjunct his natal NN DC Vertex/Osiris conjunct my natal Pluto/Karma DC Isis conjunct his natal Sun and my NN DC Mars conjunct his natal Jupiter DC Moon conjunct my natal Uranus DC Lust conjunct my natal Saturn DC Lilith conjunct his natal Karma DC Juno conjunct his natal Amor *** All of these except for a couple are a 0 degree orb *** There has to be something to it for there to be so many exact conjunctions, no? I'm not sure how to interpret it, but it feels significant. Oh! And Diandra, if you want to make a composite or Davison chart with transits, just fill in the date and time for which you would like to see transits and simply choose one chart or the other. When you load the actual chart, just click on transits and the date you selected should pop up IP: Logged |
