in fact its a rampant condition, especially in young people in the earlier stages of relationships...i know several young women who are miserable without partners even though their lives are much better when they are single!! because they neglect everything else when a partner does come along...IP: Logged |

somehow i'm not buying this..i mean i understand obsessive relationships, but i think that has way more to do with karma than a state of mind. love is a good thing.i dont buy this------------------ while the soul slumbers God talks to us in numbers.. IP: Logged |

It's easy to get obsessive about a crush or relationship and fixated on another person when you don't have a deep, solid, exciting vision of yourself in the huge world out there, but...I found that article a little strange and unsatisfying. It's partly the Times editing style. The details on what was REALLY going on were kind of slim.I think "love" is so broad a term that it's often misused, but I agree--real love is a good thing. And real love is nourishing, expansive, and empowering, not obsessive. IP: Logged |
