Ok. I swear I`m not a "crazy cat lady" (maybe someday), but here`s a story....I`ve had lots of pets. I`m a lifelong animal person. Anyway in the last year I have been to 6 funerals and lost one of my birds and my dachshund (she was 14). Anyway I got a new dachshund and another bird to go with my already crowded house, but I`ll tell ya, I was just emotionally drained and wondering why the heck do I get up everyday. So one afternoon in Sept. I took a walk to the minimart to get a pack of smokes (I know, ewww) and on my way home I saw this man washing his car and this little dog zipping around playfully at his feet. Didn`t think much of it. After crossing my street, which is a majorly busy road, (picture the game FROGGER if your that old, lol) I got the strangest feeling someone was following me. I turned around and saw that little dog! How he crossed that road in one peice I can`t imagine. Anyway, I took him in, fed and watered him, then drove him back to the mans house where I originally saw him. The man said it was not his dog and had never seen it before. I looked for signs on posts, in newspapers and talked to the clerks at the minimart. No one ever claimed this dog. He is mine. He is a shih-tzu, and is probably just about a year old now. I named him Mojo. Anyway I won`t bore you with puppy love stories, but like I said, I`ve had lots of dogs and theres just something DIFFERENT. It`s as if he is human. He acts human and he anticipates my moods and actions and emotions like no other soul, of any species. I know we`re taught to believe that human souls reincarnate into human souls, and animals to animals (or wait for us in heaven) But does anybody out there think a dog can be your soulmate of sorts?? Or am I just needing a hobby and a grief councelor? Thanks for listening!IP: Logged |

I think this is the sweetest thing. YOu might want to share it in Heathcliff's Corner too. It is wonderful. I think yes. They come to teach us and love us as well. IP: Logged |

i totally get what youre saying. i feel like my cat is one of my strongest soul connections. i believe animals were most defintely humans at one point or another. not everyone chooses the human form for obvious complicated reasons IP: Logged |

I love my Maz----Sir Mazzy Sam-Hain is his given name, a 3/4 Persian, black....I took him out into the light of the full moon when he was a mere kitten, since then he has blessed me with his familiarity, with his be-ing in my space as my familiar. He sleeps ontop of me, he drools in my presence, he attacks my daughter and my bfriend when I am not looking, but he is ever so sweet to me... An Irish witch said he was my lover in a past life!!! Sir Maz---me loves him!!! IP: Logged |

HippiChik; Your bedspread and pillows look just like mine! Lol. My Mom says my house looks like an opium den. Not real sure what that is, but I take from her expression, it's not so cool to her. N e way, My doggie is black too. Solid, with a teeny bit of white on his chest, that grows in a heart shape when I let it grow long. I have always had an affinity for black animals. I'm allergic to cats or I would have 17 or so. But I always have an outdoor one. My little dude is definetly my familiar as well, Now, if I could just get him to morph...crap what am I saying, he won't even fetch.IP: Logged | |
