okay since this is the soul unions section, was wondering if any of you guys had any interesting stories that felt like or was just like serendipity?

i love reading the older threads about synchronicity and all that and wanted to see if anyone here currently has anything like that to share

i've got a ton of them but this one tops the list because it's too funny. so one day i decided to go for lunch early (like 11:30) and asked a friend to go with me. anyway, we were walking down flights of stairs and talking at the same time. i was ahead of her and i was actually jumping down the stairs to get to the cafeteria.

i was talking and jumping over steps when i finally jumped to the bottom landing that lead into the caf. i was turned around talking to her so i was not paying attention to what was in front of me as i yanked the door wide open.

i turned to face the door as i had yanked it opened so i was able to see that someone was behind the door and was about to push the door open from that side. whoever it was, i saw them kind of stumble in the door.

it took me a minute to realize it was the guy i liked. we both just stared at each other for several minutes like two scared deers. i don't know where everyone went or how many minutes passed but it was a long time that i held the door opened and he stayed in his spot.

finally he whispered sorry and turned his eyes and head down and ran through the door and up the stairs.

the funny thing was, i had prayed to god for me to have a run-in with him before i left the country at the end of the week. i was like please god, let me run into him one last time before i go!

it was just one of those moments that made me believe in serendipity or things like that. i'm glad it happened to me
