John's heart was pounding as he made the call.

He was calling his girlfriend Diana in order to break the ice. He had proposed to her week before, through email and then sent her many reminders in the form of subsequent romantic messages and still received nothing but silence from her.

John was working as a Software Engineer in a respectable firm. He attended a self development seminar as nominated by his company. It was there he met her, a biotech student and he fell in love with her. It was almost instantaneous. Almost, because he didn't know when he started looking for her after the first few minutes of meeting her. And the next day also he was eagerly looking for her. May be she will wave her hands from somewhere and will smile. His heart was pounding whenever he thought of it. It was at that time he realized he was in love.

He had been pretending all his life like everyone else. So this time also he pretended well. He was curious about her wanted to know more about her, thought she was brilliant - that's what Diana was thinking.

Initially.

Then there was one mind reading session in the seminar. The concept was simple. The participant had to stand in a specific posture and another participant must direct a third participant to adopt the same posture. Then the third participant would know what the first participant was thinking because the thoughts would be almost the same. This was part of a science called Neuro Linguistic Programming.

There was him, another guy and her. He sought her wanting to read her mind. Ofcourse she did not want her to read his mind.

She adopted a posture and he was unable to read it. What was she thinking? He couldn't fathom. He was at utter loss.

Then the coach there offered a clue. He basically asked him to look at her breathing patterns.

OMG, that would mean he had to look at her below the neck. John's heart started pounding even more. He would look at her in that special way, but not now not yet. It will need a special place in her heart first.

He utterly lost in detecting what was in her mind.

Soon Diana guessed what was going on. He was after her for some reason. The only reason a guy would be after a girl is universal. It is well known and well understood. No second guessings there. Later Diana chatted with John as he took her contact details. She asked her whether he was married. He said No. He couldn't believe what was happening. OMG, she was actually talking something to him.

He took a look at her email id and felt something in the back of his mind Was she a Gemini?. From the way she had named her email id it was possible.

The seminar was over soon and the last day morning she arrived and asked him sarcastically "Were you waiting for a long time?"

She knows.

John would have opened up that day. But he chose not to. For one thing how much did she know him? How much did he know her? He decided to take the time.

He was a Taurean.

The next few months their friendship grew steadily. Those where the sand castles the Taurean was building. It grew into a beautiful house. The Gemini girl treated him as a brother and he accepted it with delight. But he longed to be more than a brother. He wanted a place in her heart.

He called her once. He never calls anyone without reason especially girls, and this time he was calling her simply to confirm her number. Typically Taurean.

He would have spoken for a long time, his heart wanted to, but she said she was watching a movie, her favorite actor and he felt he was interrupting her unnecessarily. He hung up.

Has the time arrived to propose?

Not yet. Slow and steady. Careful.

One day he saw a sticker "I Love You" in the wall in her facebook profile. Was it meant for him? He had no way of knowing.

Finally the Taurus man made up his mind to propose.

He sent her two messages. One was written in a humorous style in a plain old fashioned way and in the other he made himself a bit more romantic.

Then he started sending her messages daily. He was anxiously waiting for a reply from her.

She never replied.

What was happening? May be he was unaware of the alchemy in a Taurus Gemini relationship.

Actually he was well aware of it.

He decided to call her and that was what he was doing just now.

He choose her name in the Contacts list, and pressed the green dial button.

The phone kept ringing, ringing and ringing.

John woke up from his dream. What a weird dream! He glanced up at his clock that showed 7. He must hurry to his work.
