How would you go about interpreting Sun(me) oppose eros/psyche midpoint(him), and a Venus(him) conjunct Adonis(me)?

Also, what do you think of conjunctions to Venus/Mars-do midpoints only work when activated by oppositions? I have Pluto sitting right on top of his Venus/Mars midpoint.
