I dont think there is any relationship which borders on the word PERFECT. Every individual is different in their own way. Relationships are all about commitment, trust, forgiveness, endurance and patience for me. Happiness is defined by being content rather than hunting for perfection or whining. So for me being content in a relationship is a Commitment oughta happen only after knowing each other to a certain degree of well being after which i dont think one should give place for doubts or misunderstandings to seep up, in case even if it does come up it can be resolved mutually. BUT if you think you have reached the peak which happens only after a looong period then perhaps a split can be considered. So for me being content in a relationship implies a recipe for Growth.IP: Logged |

I think "being content" isn't what the author of that blog post actually means.Being content is wonderful=happy and secure. SETTLING is a terrible mistake. Resigning yourself to a relationship that does not thrill you isn't worth it. No relationship is perfect, and that's great, perfect isn't so interesting. But you should feel: There's no one in the world I'd rather be with than this person. IP: Logged |

I agree Lucia, I don't think a person should ever "settle," if the person doesn't match up to what they want...otherwise you have conflict from the outset and make attempts to change the other. I'd rather be single than settle.IP: Logged |
