once upon a time
in this space
there was a mystical rhyme
of love and waste

there were mystical doings
and magical signs
synchronistic knowings
guidance from the divine

music and soul songs
deep inner knowing
of places within
that can't help showing

Growing and learning
and soul searching and seeking
suspicion and desire...
acceptance that's fleeting.

Once upon a time
held in the arms of poem,
of love song and words
evoked from the ethers

two friends found each other
and will remember the other forever.

I wrote this a few nights ago all at once, very quickly. It's not Shakespeare, but it captures the essence of a fleeting emotion that runs deep and is a bit of a theme in my life... and maybe yours too.
