A couple of excerpts from my recent FB post~

Was discussing "relationships" with Sam. Told her I always liked Osho when he stated "relationship" contains the word "ship" and "ships sink." I, for one, have had a much easier time with dealing with things as of late if I see myself committed only to me, at present, to giving all of me to me, and letting another into my life as time and emotions allow, which is not much lately, busy with the new job, etc. Marriage works for some but will never work for me again. Not saying I'm looking, heavens, NO, but just the mindset the change of energy does me, for one, wonders~

I mean look what happens when we start to lable...your a Christian, your a Mexican, your a Catholic, your a witch, your white, your black, your blond, your redhead, your single, your married, your in a relationship............the list goes on and on...just talking about the energy of a word, friends...

(lol! just mistyped "live" )

SOOO true about the Labels, t!

I for one NEVER used the term "boyfriend" because I found it too restricting in it's expectations. I would say "accomplice" or "partner in crime" but it would literally make me anxious to use a more "defined" term.

Relationship, on the other hand, can be anything. You have a relationship with your child. Your parents. Your co-workers. That word to me is much more general and I almost never think of it in terms of romantic relationship. Probably an Aquarian trait.

It's a scary step to give your connection to another a "term" or a "label". Naming what exists between two people is pretty difficult, as emotions are completley intangible.

The concept of focusing on YOU is awesome. I spent a lot of my youth doing that, and am actually in a place that is opposite of that. Strnage times, indeed!

(btw my old man is a 29 degree Aqua sun who lived his whole life thinking he was a Pisces. Mercury is there though, he's a dreamy poet when he speaks.......)

You both are so correct and thank you for replying.

It has taken me till I am FIFTY to learn this!

Probably the over romantic soul of the Pisces, but with a high Aquarian side, I have really balked against tradition for ever.

Tho my "boyfriend" and I are still "together" and keeping in touch, and still love eachother deeply, I refuse to take the Very Virgo seriously, declared myself single, not looking, dont want to, but I will never consider myself in a "relationship" with a man again.

And relationships do come in many forms, but I think when we start to apply the term to a romantic union between 2 adults things get a little strange.

I am just living...

I don't know why it would cause such a fuss....people put too much implication on a word...it doesn't mean the end of the world. Relationship = the act of relating to someone/something. Now preface that with other words such as casual, committed, sexual, platonic, etc that's when you know where you stand & what it means to that person. Some people will make a big deal about nothing....speaking totally from my own point
