..was a Gemini. Still is, I mean. I've met him on the very 1st day of school. He had the blackest, most wonderful eyes I have ever seen. Always been a sucker for dark brown/almost black eyes. Starting with him. His Mom loved me. I used to go to their house and hanged out more with his Mom than with him. She is a wonderful woman. Wanted me and him to become a couple. But it was one-sided, I guess.
Years passed. We went together at the same high school, but we had different paths in life. Now it's our 10 years reunion and apparently he is one of the people in charge of it. He asked me to come. We're friends on FB. I just looked at his profile... I haven't seen him since highschool.. my, he's changed. He's married now. He looks nice. Tall, handsome, successful. His wife is pretty. They look very good together. They look in love.

I will not be going to the reunion. Decided a while ago, before talking to him.

Loving someone does not mean accepting them as they are, it means allowing them to grow as they see fit.

Time doesn't make everything get sorted neatly into boxes, and love has always been a funny thing...

Hi, VAA! That's very true..

I guess nostalgia got the best of me today.. I didn't know he was married. I felt envious. I don't like to feel envy, I am happy other people are happy. It just made me feel terribly lonely, that's all.

Nostalgia on a good day sucks...nostalgia during a Venus Retrograde sucks on a whole new level... You miss the person they were then, you miss the fantasy of what might have been, you miss those warm fuzzy moments that felt so clear and so right (actually, I may have to write a poem about it all )

((((Hera))))) I wish I could make it easier, but all I can say is give yourself plenty of hugs, and know even this past pondering is happening for a reason...and this is totally a "pot and kettle" discussion so I should perk my ears up and listen to my own advice, LOL....::sighs::

"Feeling Then"
~a poem inspired~

You miss the person you loved,

You miss the uncharted terrain,

You miss what could have, might have been,

If Fate had been differently ordained

It hurts to feel the pangs of loss,

to know the bubble's burst

The warm familiar memories

drawn around your heart, feel a curse

Give yourself full compassion

Let your soul have a moment to breathe

Your emotional tides must not be judged

or they'll never be appeased

Those times of pure sweet affection,

remembrances held so dear

They cross your mind for a reason,

bring a twinkling smile so clear

Hera,

I am glad you enjoyed the poem Thank you for inspiring it, and in writing this particular piece, I felt words came to me that brought comfort and conclusion to uncertainties that have plagued me too.

We are all here to support each other, and I feel all the stronger for it

Most of the time I realize that the two of us had more of an opportunity to grow in life without each other and can't really get sad about being apart.

I don't know how or why I know that, but I do. I guess I've thought a lot about it.....and that's the conclusion I've drawn for a number of reasons. Life would be a lot different had we stayed together and things are unfolding as they should. I think he's learning and experiencing a lot more without me and vice versa. It was too easy and comfortable for us together. Apart, we accelarate out growth processes. Which I am all for as I'd like to accomplish as much as I can before I leave here and don't mind being single. True love never dies, so I always have that time spent and experience, with me.

It makes me happy to know that he is doing his thing and I, mine & that we will meet up again someday. I know that for sure.

His moon in Taurus was conjunct my Sun - same degree. I think that's one of the best aspects you can have with someone.

Aw, Hera, thanks for sharing!

VAA, I love that poem, it's SO good. Hits the spot.

I think nobody ever truly, totally forgets love. Once it happens for real, it's in our biology, it comes out in dreams...we don't leave anyone behind, really.
