For days now, I have tried to sever a cord connecting me to my soul mate. But whenever I try to envision it being cut with a sword or scissors, I felt my head throb and a surge of pain in my heart. My heart lurches forward and then goes back in like a rubber band. What does this entail? IP: Logged |

Obviously your heart is not ready for it. Let it be. If the relationship is a pain (i am assuming here) then just do what is practically required to be done but other than that just let things BE. Don't make any effort to cling or severe, either mentally or emotionally. Time will precipitate the issue and then you will know what to do. I hope this helps. From my experience i can tell you that doing anything proactive to severe the tie worsens things. Or for that matter making out and out efforts to make things work. I left things and tried to let the dust settle. IP: Logged |

Far from it now actually. It's a rather easygoing connection. Only once when we went our ways did I feel any sort of pain. We've been out of a romantic relationship for two years but still talk to each other and for some reason, neither of us can't let go. I thought maybe that if I could cut the cord that maybe things will get better. So in other words, time dictates when the cord would be cut? IP: Logged |

If it is to be cut...only time knows...accept how you feel and try to carry on with YOUR life. Focus on YOUR goals and if/when the time is right, the answer will be revealed to you...this is from what I've learned. love&light is right, don't try to severe ties...the bond, for whatever the purpose and amount of time, is obviously supposed to be there.
