I feel like as soon as I'm in a relationship, I'm trapped. I can't be myself. I feel like I have to be obligated to merge with the other person, tell them where i'm going, what i'm doing, what i'm thinking, and why. And I HATE that!! I hate people keeping tabs on me, I hate having to think "oh i can't talk to that sexy man over there because i have a boyfriend". You know what i mean? I feel like a relationship is the end of ME.

I broke up with that last guy, broke his heart, and although I know it was mainly because it was HIM that I didn't like, that relationship taught me that I am just not ready for any more exclusive relationships. I like to have guys as friends and f*ck buddies. I don't know that I'll EVER be ready for serious commitment relationships. And marriage? HA!

Yes, I am a female..a 25 year old female who doesn't like the idea of commitment. I used to, but now that I've lived with someone and had to resist temptation and freedom for the course of it..I want nothing to do with it now.

I truly feel some people are like cookies. They are baking through their 20's. Making any super serious commitments, especially in relationships, although good for learning, are NOT good for sustainability. I see it over and over again. Swept up in the romance of it all, but unable to really choose long term partners well because there is so much dough that's still left to cook..

There's nothing wrong with you, this is normal. Especially in this day and age. The world is so much more accessible. Women are independent and don't NEED to settle down the way they used to.

Caution on this one point, if you do truly fall in love, try not to run away from it, but carefully examine your feelings. Timing is a large factor in life, which we forget when we are caught up. If something has potential, but NOT RIGHT NOW, consider simply placing that on the back burner and living out all the desires you have before settling in. It will save a lot of heart ache in the end..

I just wanted to say you are not the only woman who feels this way. I have many Sun-Uranus women in my life, and they feel exactly the same way you do. Granted, I don't think you hate romantic relationships (Although who am I to say so?), I just think you love your independence above all things. And usually, it takes meeting the right person and timing. I really think the poster above summed it up. You need someone who will give you oodles of space but respect and love who you are.

Relationships should be about growth. If you're not arguing, then something's wrong.

Personally, I think it would be fascinating to spend years together and continue to go deeper and deeper, to become more and more intimate--not just sexually, but in other senses of that word, too.
