I am Venus in Taurus, Mars in Pisces and have been with someone for 2 years who is Venus in Aries, Mars in Cancer. She pursued me (Venus in Aries) and this summer I became negligent in giving her the attention she wanted. (Not on purpose). During the recent Mercury Retrograde, I asked her if she still loved me and she said "I don't think so". Since July 7th she has been sullen and giving me the silent treatment, though in the past week it has started to let up a bit.
I have left her roses (one in her car), cards, a love letter and sent her texts (usually giving her something once a week).
I perceive that her Mars in Cancer is sulking and feeling sorry for herself.
My question is--1)do you think there's a chance for us given that this all started during when the Mercury Retrograde cycle was starting? and 2)should I continue to try to get her to come out of her shell? Or am I trying too hard and wasting my time?
She hasn't done or said anything to indicate she wants a complete break--she hasn't told her family; she hasn't asked me to move out and she hasn't told me to stop leaving flowers and letters for her.
