Whats the deal with it really?

I mean dont we meet many soulmates in our life to help us grow, then its over? But what if you meet someone that you say goodbye to, over and over and over and over, but this person never leaves your life completely but not in a stalker way...

Its like we bump into each other and then i'll call to say bye again but he comes by my house just to say merry christmas because we always spent time together every holiday, it wasnt weird just a simple "have a good one but i gotta go, love you".

We've been knowing each other for 2 years and it never ends.

What do you think about soulmates?

Well, I feel the love that sticks around the longest is the one you should pay attention to. Those are the connections that stick around after many years and don't wane. Perhaps they are soulmates.

Gemini Sun
Libra Moon
Gemini Mercury
Cancer Venus
Virgo Mars
Virgo Asc

And yes, I'm a guy!

Actually we are confused imo when it is a bf-gf thing plus a soulmate one. I have a lady who as a child was with me, then we parted, again met in college, again parted....and this continues to this day. On and off our relationship is going on and always has. She is obviously my soulmate. Three decades and going on. We don't even bother to keep in touch. We are very different in every way. Just as friends we could have never stuck on.

Another example is that of my mentor. We just don't gell and yet we do. Here is the confusing thing. Because this relationship is both ways, mundane and spiritual. And i always end up fighting. But again i have to go back. Soulmate.

So, the long and short of it is, depends on your relationship. It may be anything from beautiful, comfortable to very good fights. Its a wide spectrum. But they are there, on and off or always and whether you like it or not. Sometimes they finish their part and move on. But what i feel personally is that even then the connection would be there, dormant as it may be.

This is just my opinion.

This reminds me of Randall's thread The Most Important Thread of LindaLand... it was the story of The Little Soul and the Sun (I think it was called) and it was written by Neil Donald Walsh (that's his name, right?) who is the author of the book and movie "Conversations With God".

Also, I like what everyone is saying.

Agree.

you can actually feel the soul connection most times.

you just know.

like with me and him, we met and just stared at each other for a few seconds with that intense look of where you been, with an at home feeling being next to them

i think vertex and nodes play a role in soulmates..
northnode conjuct venus &
vertex conjuct pluto
(watch why)

because of me, i brought him and ex wife closer, and ironicly their getting remarried on my birthday (their aniversary)

Well, I don't know what my husband and I are, but we seem to be something.

* When he was going to start at our old place of work, I was inexplicably excited. I jumped on setting up his new laptop and a few of his other pieces of equipment and was practically giddy the whole time.
Keep in mind, I had no idea who he was.
Honestly, he has a very "old guy" name, and I thought his age was going to reflect that. I had no idea why I was psyched.
When he walked into our office door for the first time, I couldn't see him because of the position of my desk. I just heard one of our part-time staff say, "Oh, you must be the new _________!" and I leapt out of my seat to meet him.

* We often get headaches at the same time, even if separated.

* I can't get to sleep if he's up.
This has been an issue lately as he's recently taken a job which necessitates frequent travel with some overnight work.
If you see me posting on here at like 1am, that's what's up.

* He's the first person I've ever been able to fall asleep on.
I know that sounds odd, but I've always wanted to be able to fall asleep on a boyfriend. Like, to me, on some level that represented something. But I've never been able to do it, even with an ex-husband after several years of marriage.
I fell asleep nuzzled against my husband the first time we, uh...had the opportunity to fall asleep together.

* He feels like home, and just so comfortable, physically.
I can be in the middle of the most intense, crappy day, and it's all gone as soon as he embraces me.

There's more, but my coffee's almost done and I have a bunch to knock out before the baby awakes.

So, is he a soul mate?
Don't know.
Don't care.
He is what he is (guh guh guh guh guh <--Popeye laugh), and we are what we are.
And I like it.

Why worry about a label?
Enjoy it as it comes.

Could you please say something more about Vertex conjunct Pluto. Why this aspect and would Vertex opposite Pluto count if it was in the composite?

I've had vertex conjunct vertex and vertex conjunct descendant DW with an ex, vertex opposition sun with another, and vertex conjunct asc with the third. I feel since pluto moves very slow, I wouldn't count vertex conjunct pluto because somebody's vertex could be conjuncting everyone's pluto born in those couple of years.

Also nodes do play a part because I had lots of exact-2 degree conjunctions and oppositions with those 3 guys too (with main personal planets and asc). You just feel the energy, meeting a soulmate and spending time with them changes you.

You reminded me of a quote by Madonna - who I happen to be a huge admirer of. It goes something like this;

"If you meet a person and they seem perfect for you, you better run away as fast as you can. Because a soul mate is someone who pushes your buttons, ****** you off and makes you face your **** "

Interesting take...and somwhat true in my experience

Lol.. U know i hate to sound negative, but its true..

Soulmates are part of our lessons... Some are harder than others.. But there is some sort of struggle with in..
Which becomes frustrating, and makes a sane person go crazy...

But at the same time.. I'm sure not everyone experience is the same as mine.

I think it's more the fact Soulmates always emotionally affect you, in both good and bad ways.

We react because we're emotionally moved, whereas normally it's like apathy and you couldn't really care less because they're just someone, not someone *that* important. Those people don't get under your skin like soulmates do, soulmates have the knack of doing that quite effortlessly. And before you know it, you're hooked.

That's very well put.

I have to agree with Lioness and Hapless viewpoints. I always used to believe that a soul mate was somebody who you never had a cross word with. Someone who you loved unconditionally, with very little trauma or hardship.

As I grew older and had one duff relationship after another I realised that this probably isn't always the case. I too believe that soul mates can get under our skin like no other. I believe they can teach us more about ourselves, either in a negative or positive way. For example my ex, who I did truly love, literally dragged me down into this pit of despair. When I finally ended the relationship I felt revigorated and alive again. I knew exactly what I did and didn't want from a partner. Shortly after I met my partner of 11 years - and as Madonna said we **** each other off on a regular basis haha!

My ex and I brought out the worst in each other. He taught me a life lesson and I believe that I did him.

Just wanted to say I love what Mocking Bird wrote!

Ive been preoccupied looking into soul mate aspects with current and past love. I guess because what I feel now is so different than past experience in love (makes me wonder what love/destiny is all about). In the end mystic melody is right, what does it matter?

I can say I currently relate to 2/4 example's Mocking Bird. Feeling at home and finally finding someone you can fall asleep on <3

I also relate to jlyn possible soulmate connection. He may not be the person you marry but that doesn't mean he may not hold a karmic/soul mate influence toward you.

The strange thing in my experience is the guy I couldn't get rid of (still never had an official goodbye) doesn't have an soulmate aspects to mine. At best his moon fell into my 7th house while my mars opposite his sun, and fell in his 8th. Also my Vesta conjunct his sun.

However my current relationship has less intensity/addiction etc. Those feelings are there, but they seem to be subdued under this unbelievable feeling of safety..and idk right-ness?
As for soulmate aspects his Venus conjuncts my south node. And his Juno conjuncts my Venus. The funny thing is I wouldn't have anticipated these aspects like I would have prior.

I don't know if this gives you anything to think about, but ultimately it should depend on how you think/feel.
