Is it possible to have a fated/karmic relationship without any significant nodal/vertex contacts?

I think all relationships are "fated". Fated to be WHAT is the question.

That's true,we don't meet people by accident.

But I ask because if you feel that way about someone but you don't have the karmic/fated aspects, like node/vertex/saturn contacts. It's most likely to just be labled as infatuation and insignificant.

I don't think you need those contacts to tell if something is karmic or fated.

If you feel that fated connection, then the fated aspects will be there as well.
They may just not be what you expected them to be.

While the nodal axis and Vertex plays definitely an important role, it is not the end of all.

I also slightly disagree, not every meeting is fated; only those that stick in your memory and "do" something to you and your life.
(I met a gazillion people yesterday, just walking down the streets; but it is really only two faces I can remember now )

However, if you decide to have a relationship with someone, then of course you do "relate" to something in that connection or the other person, and depending on the definition of that term, every relationship could be termed fated, or not. Depends on your definition of fate and karma.

Thank you guys for answering.

I was just feeling a little blue about my last relationship. It was Pluto/Neptune heavy, our personal planets don't aspect eachother much.So at this point I don't know if it was love or Pluto/Neptune making me think that.

But Pluto definitely did it's transformational stuff on me.

Pluto and Neptune are definitely big on the karmic front, too.
As you said, they are transformational.

However if there is not enough personal glue, it might be just that. A kick in the butt (or sometimes a cut in the heart) to get you going into the direction of your growth.

I read something in a book, that probably many people on here, especially on HERE on LL, will protest against, but it struck a chord with me:"Consider this: the pain doesn`t come from losing your soulmate, but from the disappointment that the guy wasn`t your soulmate. It`s sad, but it`s not catastrophic...I `m hurt right now, this person wasn`t right for me. NOw I can allow myself to find the right person."

Probably noone having been freshly hurt by the detoriation of a relationship will agree with this (of course we lost our soulmate, the only one who ever had the key to make us happy, and now he is gone and has taken the key away), but I have found that often we cling too much to our expectations or image of a person, the DESIRE for him to be the One, that we fail to see everything that has told us so clearly from the very beginning that he is not, at least not for us.

Of course it still hurts, you miss the person, you miss the connection, the things he contributed to your life, but in the end it wasn`t enough (for either of you).

Sorry for the rant.

However, it is entirely possible that it WAS love, that your "worlds" just weren`t compatible. Love (the feeling of being in love) is not always enough.

Wow,it's true.

1)It was a kick in the butt. Before him I was really lackadaisical. Then before I even met him I began to get my life together. He's 8 years older.I wanted to be able to hold my own.And after it was over I went into introspection mode, trying to understand(he's a cap moon, wasn't getting many answers from him). That's when I found real Astrology.Cause Geminis and Libras go together, right?

2)I am trying to deal with the fact that maybe he's not a soulmate of mine.Maybe all he was was a wake up call.
