Well, I know that it is all the endorphins that are released, and a fleeting feeling, but probably the most awesome feeling in the world. IP: Logged |

I know somebody already asked, but what does it feel like to be in love? I ask this seriously. I think it's worth practicing that feeling more than any other feeling.. The universe is listening And I want to eavesdrop too IP: Logged |

It is all endorphines, yes, and probably a bit different for anyone, for me it is similiar to that song here (maybe with a few corrections in the lyrics) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=23S35baRgSQ IP: Logged |

Well, like Ceri said, it is different for everybody and that particular feeling is a very physical one, when somebody lets loose those endorphins, it is a rush, giddiness, warmness, smiling all the time, feeling like being wrapped all up in a cozy blanket on a cold winter's night. And since it is a well-studied and well documented physical thing, it cant go on forever, since hormones are involved. Tho I do miss it! IP: Logged |

Sometimes it comes back again, though. For short instancec only in a long term relationship, but it does not need to stay gone forever.
I actually asked my mom about that some years ago, which is weird, as we do not really discuss any of these matters. And she was very clear about that she would only talk about it once with me, but what she said was that now and then my Dad is doing something, saying something or smiling in a certain way, that - for some moments at least- makes that feeling come back again, though of course the basis they have now is a different kind of warmth/ love. I heard the same thing from a friend of mine, who has been with her lover for 8 years. Also it`s noteable in my brothers and his girlfriend`s treating of each other, despite being together for 7 years. So I guess sometimes it is possible that it flares up again for short phases. But fo course you can`t really live on this kind of high all the time. Just imagine how well you could function if you were on an endless drug-high!

CeriI hear what you are saying! Yes it can come back, which I experience with, well used to, The Virgo, from time to time. A drug, a love drug would be excellent!!! IP: Logged |

Hehe, thanks for sharing Hippi and Ceri (what an awesome song). I wonder if we should reframe this falling in love to a blessed feeling instead of endorphins. It makes it less evasive and more hopeful IP: Logged |

From what I have read, yes. It "recluses" you, thrown you back onto yourself. It makes you feel more alone than you have ever felt. Well that is how HE is affecting me now... IP: Logged |
