Dear all,
Recently I broke my SO's heart so badly, even I think I am a terrible person. I didn't cheat but I kind of lied, but it was to protect the relationship. ( guy X liked me, I told him to back off a year ago, he random called me the other night which drove my SO mad)

Now, he feels betrayed (No, I did not betray) and he wanted time to think about it. If he wants to come back, I'm totally ok, but there must be something that will enable me to mend his heart and broken trust.

If your SO went mad because a guy randomly called you and doesnt believe you that the attention was unwanted, I think you're better off without him.

Over reaction in my opinion. Unless you've had a tendency in the past to be a bit deceptive, trying to make him jealous, etc, then trust is always going to be hard to rebuild and slipping back into that dynamic will be a struggle.

Why don't you apologize to him? it will make you feel better. Some relationships just aren't meant to be. In my experience time heals.

I agree with what was said above.

If you relationship can't handle a guy calling you then there is a problem. And when someone flies off the handle that is also a sign of trouble.

You must inform him that acting that way is not allowed. If you let him get away with such behavior it will create a president and he will think he can do this all the time.

Stamp it out before it gets out of control.
