Actually, the more popular and well liked the guru, the less the probability that they are close to enlightenment.

Reason being is because people gravitate most to those who are on a similar range of wavelength at a Soul level. This world is primarily populated by Souls that are from young to middle age metaphorically speaking.

The rare people whose inner wavelengths are at a very fast vibratory rate, tend to powerfully stir up the shadow in others. Quite often they come to be disliked to intensely hated by many (the further away from pure Love the other people, the more they will deeply despise that person).

The only people attracted to them, are those that are somewhat on a similar wavelength or approaching same, and again, these are somewhat rare.

However, there are more and more Souls coming in here direct from other, more expanded, faster vibratory and harmonious systems. We are coming to an Age/stage in evolution, where teachers as such will be less needed and less helpful, but more so exemplars are needed and helpful.

Regarding original post, I was going to say what TaurusVenusGirl said as well. That idea probably came from the 7 year cell regeneration idea.

I believe the truth is in the energetic imprint overall. You would look at how deep the soul sharing was between the partners to know exactly how much they blended and left an energetic imprint on the other. Sexual intimacy is meant to be a powerful sharing on all levels, the mental/physical/spiritual/emotional but it isn't always. Even when a child is created, it might not be a full sharing. The physical/biological signature is pretty strong there. People can get drunk and make a baby with a random stranger, or a child can be created through rape. The signature left is going to be what was actually shared between the two entities (and God/Universe).

If you are married for 20 years to a roommate with whom you share finances and raise children but rarely have sex and the sex you do have isn't meaningful but more like self pleasuring using the other human as a sex toy, then the signature left is going to be not much more important than the signature left by the sex toy.
