Since I am not perfect or without wounds and fears, I can hardly expect my "twin" to be. It is about healing each others wounds and learning and growing but still (most of the time) knowing you will want it eternally no matter how much it hurts poking around doing surgery on those old buried wounds. It is about healing each others wounds and learning and growing but still (most of the time) knowing you will want it eternally no matter how much it hurts poking around doing surgery on those old buried wounds. very good points and i agree with both of these posts. i was once too idealistic and my neptunian side quickly hooked onto this twin flame concept when i first learned of it. it was from something i read with edgar cayce, plato, atlantis, etc.. maybe story of the soul or something and some other books. its been so long, i am not sure anymore. i just remember it resonated with me deeply, intuitively and was the only thing that made sense in this horrible world, a world i wanted to escape from. i could spout how love was supposed to be all day long. spin illusions to others and to myself. all my casual and serious relationships were "love at first sight" stuff and that was the only way i believed they could be. looking back now, i was so unbalanced and didnt have the wisdom to face my own bullsht. was pretty much chasing that dopamine high imo. time after time signs were there, twin flame signs.. breadcrumbs everywhere. all it did was lead me to super toxic karmic relationships/soul contracts that utterly destroyed my stupid ideals. i might be a little jaded now but i still secretly entertain it (and probably wont admit to it irl), only my feet are firmly planted on the ground these days. perhaps more on the skeptical side. the one person who could be my "twin" is nothing like i ever imagined. the connection was/is so fast yet so agonizing slow (which taught my aries venus some much needed patience). he never stroked my ego, no compliments on superficial stuff, no professing of love (stuff i was used to, especially from my love-bombing exes).. even fckboyish behavior at certain points that made me question my life choices again. yes pretty jaded himself. but when i learned more from our interactions, it was never what i thought originally. it seem like i was mad over imagined slights. my own fears. because the truth was/is actually calming and healing that i gradually learned and am still learning to let go of all expectations. fears, closed hearts and pain in learning how to be more authentic with each other have been quite prevalent in our connection. however the pain it takes to be more authentic with him pales in comparison to the pain from our conflicts.. and being more authentic with each other diminishes our conflicts so there is really only one way to be. and that is the prize to me - the road to authenticity, to getting rid of fears, to living life with more of an open heart based in reality. a standard relationship with him comes secondary to what this connection has done and is still doing for my spiritual growth.
