My parents have always be in my life. The only person in my family that has really "come back" is my older sister. We've never been close. There's always been a sort of sibling rivalry there even with the 10 year age difference. She just moved in due to financial issues. We haven't had much direct contact with each other for years up until now. My parents are caught in the middle of the tension, if anything, and the source of a lot of it.

My parents aren't what I'd call intellectuals. If anything, my mom is very idealistic, and traditional. She doesn't want what I want for me. I'm much more free spirited, and independent but at this point in my life I am stuck. I graduated early, throwing myself into the position I am now. Independent but still dependent on my parents.
