w/o seeing the charts I can say that generally, cancer and aqua are a bad combo. If you have supporting moons or venuses it could work. IP: Logged |

There is a beautiful Earth Grand Trine of his Moon, your Venus and your Moon. This may have triggered the attarction.Lack of Air Sign planets in both charts is a major problem. His Mars sq your Moon and his Neptune on your Descendant may have contributed to the breakup. IP: Logged |

You have AC-AC opposition, and this shows that you naturally see each other as partners. And there's also Mars/Venus opposition, as well as planets in each other's 7th houses, which should also contribute to such feelings/attraction. And your Moons are also trine, so that you have similar emotional nature.I took a look at the composite (it's easier to me to see how the relationship is than looking at the synastry, which is more about where two people are compatible/incompatible), and there's a t-square with Saturn oppose Mars/Black Moon Lilith and these square to Jupiter. Mars and Saturn are often related to the man in the relationship, and this might show problems with commitment, probably from his side. Venus is square to Uranus, and this can show a kind of electrical attraction, but can also show instability.
Lastly, Sun is opposed to Pluto and trine to Neptune, while Jupiter is sextile to Sun and Neptune and trine to Pluto. I'm not sure how to interpret Jupiter here, but the aspects involving Sun/Pluto/Neptune can show some care and compassion, yet some pain/wound in the relationship too.
Ah, Juno is conjunct the Saturn/Moon midpoint, so it can show the desire for commitment, but then that t-square might still be troublesome for commitment. I'm still green at reading composites, but I hope that this can help a bit. It's important to see what aspects in the charts you feel you can relate with in the real life, so that you can use it as a map/guidance and see how to deal with it.
