No problem.{{{hugs}}}
I will try to answer your queries.
I am tired and sleep deprived too so bear with me.

I mean, what if the reader allocates placements in your chart to events in your life, and you feel this is inaccurate?
Then you should tell them so and ask how they arrived at that. By all means do not automatically agree or disagree.

I'm not saying anything, I'm trying (not very well!) to enquire about what would constitute one as only wanting to hear the good stuff.

I will use examples I have witnessed or experienced.
I have had folks ask me to read for them. Well due to the methods I use, I cannot simply pick and choose what I am getting. They say, oh yes please do not tell me anything scary or creepy!.
Or "I only want the nice stuff".
Then there is also the fakes I have seen at psychic fairs, as I had my own station for Lexigrams. I overheard them read almost word for word the same lines to each person with similar questions. If the person asked a scary question, the reader would say, "oh he is as healthy as can be, do not worry" Or "you will be just fine" to such questions as:
Do you see any health issues for my friend?....or, I have been feeling ill, is it anything serious?"
Well the friend became gravely ill.
The person who said they felt unwell died a few weeks later, when going to doctor may have saved their life.
So yeah, lying and only giving happy readings is wrong and can backfire.
Like a reader saying,
"yes forgive him, he loves you".
Then the woman is beaten near to death.
I have seen too many examples of such.

Then these readers also had their stock happy happy joy joy readings they gave to folks wanting a general reading.
They literally cycled through like 5 different versions of same reading given and then would repeat cycle over and over again all day!
And those who would say;
Always give the person something happy and nice even if you have to make something up! A happy customer will tell their friends!
So even if you do not pick up on anything, just make something up!
I saw aura photographers do the same with colors. So like 6 colors.
1 to 6 were same as 7 to 12 and 13 to 20 and so on.

Oh gods no! Never take any such things at face value! Talk, ask more questions, disagree, ask for clarification.

No problem.{{{hugs}}}
And thank you!
On that note, I am drained too so off for catnap and Tens Unit.

Tens Unit? Are you expecting or does it have other uses?

You're welcome
No I am not expecting.
Sigh, would be nice.
I use the Tens Unit to help with my damaged spinal and other nerves etc. so I do not get partial paralytic or blindness episodes as often.
I am disabled and it also helps with the too often agonizing torsion spasms.

Wow! That sounds painful lass. It sucks you are dealing with that.
Is there not a more effective management program, can muscle relaxants not help the spasms? (sorry if I am speaking out of line, as I don't know what you are dealing with, and I'm not medically trained).

Hello!
I do not read charts but can get vibes of such and the birth information.
I also like to know gender and marital status.
Rather busy but will get back to you as soon as possible.

Is there a specific question?

Lexx, my thoughts are with you.
I wish I could do more.
I'm moved by just how much you have had to deal with recently, I hope the end of the negativity is in sight, and that you have good people around you for support.
Try to ignore the ones who are not supportive, many people feed off others' pain, it's like a kind of denial, but just try to focus on those you connect with, and who love you.
The rest have no power over you if you ignore them, and put no energy into them.

Wow Lexx, sorry for your loss. Two in two weeks is awful!

On the topic in general, I think we could ponder on the origins of the words soothsayer and fortune teller to understand why people generally only want to hear only good news. It's a vicious cycle. Probably the first professional ones did only say good things, earning them those names, and as a result, people now expect this.
