Ian, Why don't you research Varuna? I asked IQ about it, so that usually hones it down. Your Comp has NN conjunct Varuna, so your relationship would be defined by Varuna. I don't know anything about it.------------------ Want a peek in to my journal? http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

In Vedic religion, Varuna (Sanskrit varuṇa वरुण is a god of the sky, of water and of the celestial ocean, as well as a god of law and of the underworld. He is the most prominent Asura in the Rigveda, and lord of the heavens and the earth. In Hindu mythology, Varuna continued to be considered the god of all forms of the water element, particularly the oceans.20000 Varuna is a Kuiper Belt asteroid(orbiting beyond the orbit of Neptune), with a period of 284 years, 315 days. It was discovered at 10 Cancer 29 on 28 November 2000 at 9:51 a.m. MST at Kitt Peak Observatory near Sells, AZ by Robert S. McMillan, who named it for the Hindu god of the waters, who preceded the storm-god Indra as king of the gods. Once, Varuna ruled the sky as well, but after a great war between the Vedic gods and demons, the gods decided that each should be assigned a clearly defined sphere of influence to avoid future conflicts. Varuna got the waters of the earth to rule and Indra got the sky. Varuna sits with his wife Varuni on a throne of diamonds and the deities of the rivers, lakes, and springs of the world form his court. Varuna is the custodian of the various demons of the ocean. He is also associated with clouds and rain, and is credited with sustaining life by virtue of giving rain and crops. Varuna is often shown as a fair-skinned man who rides either a crocodile, or a monstrous fish named Makara which has an antelope's head and legs, or a chariot drawn by seven swans; he holds a serpent, a noose, a conch shell and a vessel of gems in each of his four hands. The noose is in one of his right hands. He is sometimes described as having a thousand eyes with which he oversees the whole world, or as encompassing the entire world. Varuna means "he who covers" in Sanskrit. 20000 Varuna: Vast power, immortality through fame, noteriety. Supreme cosmic deity; god of natural and moral law; ancient sky god. Vedic deity of vast power, particularly the waters. Noteriety and immortality in the sense of renown; immortality through fame. The Great equalizer. Impersonal laws of nature (as opposed to human nature) and the incomprehensible cosmic order (as opposed to the order of society). Positive - sovereign, competent, regulating without force, mastery of all tasks accepted. Negative - incompetent and blaming, laments losses, holds resentment. Mundane - appointments or elected positions, delegation of authority, promotions, demotions, court martial, public humiliation. Ceremonial - ceremonies to confirm positions, spiritual coronations, “induced” journeys as in shamanically led vision quests. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum1/HTML/017880.html So.... therefore my wife and I are going to start a drug cartel transporting narcotics across water and become infamous, powerful and notorious? (noun, person) in Vedism, god of the night sky who with his thousand eyes watches over human conduct and judges good and evil and punishes evildoers; often considered king of the Hindu gods and frequently paired with Mitra as an upholder of the world wow. I don't like how this sounds! My wife and I are going to be the judges of human behavior and dispense punishment? lol

IQ answered my question in the Astrology Forum, but I don't have a handle on this asteroid, yet. We can research it on the thread I made, if you want. Anything conjunct the NN is pivotal. Remember, all energies can be used for good, even the dark ones. I am not saying THIS one is dark. I don't know what it is lol ------------------ Want a peek in to my journal? http://www.mychristianpsychic.com/

Varuna has been covered excellently by a Russian Astrologer, I think I posted that link some years ago. I have found Varuna in many undersea earthquake charts, and in Vedic Myths, he is the deity of Water. Vedic Neptune.Varuna conjunct NN could mean one who can create soul stirring emotions for the sake of his own self actualization, but I am not sure of this. self-ac·tu·al·i·za·tion Noun: The realization or fulfillment of one's talents and potentialities, esp. considered as a drive or need present in everyone. In his article, A Theory of Human Motivation, Maslow explicitly defines self-actualization to be "the desire for self-fulfillment, namely the tendency for him [the individual] to become actualized in what he is potentially. This tendency might be phrased as the desire to become more and more what one is, to become everything that one is capable of becoming."[5] Maslow used the term self-actualization to describe a desire, not a driving force, that could lead to realizing one's capabilities. Maslow did not feel that self-actualization determined one's life; rather, he felt that it gave the individual a desire, or motivation to achieve budding ambitions. Adj. 1. soul-stirring - exciting strong but not unpleasant emotions; "a stirring speech" stirring moving - arousing or capable of arousing deep emotion; "she laid her case of destitution before him in a very moving letter"- N. Hawthorne Creating exciting and strong emotions to fulfill self ambitions... hmmm...

Your Sun is conjunct her DC. Looks like less than 3 degrees orb. Great attraction. Your Mars and Merc in her 7th house of committed relationships, again indicating strong attraction. I'm simply responding to your q's from the astro2 forum. Are you looking for something in particular? IP: Logged |

YoursTruly,Look at the aspects between the two charts and count up how many are stressful negative aspects vs how many are flowing positive ones. Include the declination positions for a full picture. (astro.com link to pdf data sheet right above where your chart displays). There should be a majority of positive aspects if you want a relationship not bogged down by issues with a high likelihood of failure. For my practice 'positive' includes any aspects between Moon and Venus/Jupiter, Venus and Jupiter/Sun - quincunxes, squares, etc. Saturn and Pluto aspects contribute to surviving commitment, Venus to affection. Hard Uranus aspects tend to press the people in different direction or create psychic/communicative overwhelm. Mercury is very important for effective communication. A large majority of flowing aspects is not likely to create a bonded relationship because there will probably be no challenge. I've only found Chiron and Juno of the asteroids to be significant in synastry. I give their aspects a bit less value in the final math. IP: Logged | |
