I feel too all over the place lately. Too Gemini, Aries-ish. I was wondering if there's anything in my chart that would give me a more subtle, intense demeanor. You'd think my Taurus moon might do that, but so far I think it just allows things that would normally offend others, to gloss over with me. It feels like nothing sticks.

Moon opp Pluto, ruler of 1st and IC are together in Aries in 10th. 1st and 4th connect, your emotional nature is intense and shows outwardly(10th).

How do 1st and 4th connect?

I guess I thought if I was intense I would be able to get people to stay in my life longer or get them to come back to me. My Scorpio friend can do it, and I thought it was the intensity that drew them back in.

If it is only lately, maybe current transits & progressions can shed more light

Ruler of Gemini is Mercury,
Ruler of Virgo is Mercury,
Look at Mercury,
It's in Aries, in the 10th.
Theyre connected, your outer personality(1st)
and emotions(4th) are connected. Theres not a conflict in expression but the expression tends
to be "intense". Maybe passionate is a better word A wise friend told me that once.

What about Pluto transiting my 7th house? Is that going to bring about wild changes and whatnot? Or does it mean I'll just be attracting a lot of Scorpio at this time...

what makes you intense is moon opposite pluto AND t Neptune is fast approaching your MC

moon rules 2nd house posited in 11th so your personal beliefs and values are expressed via friendship in practical nurturing taurean manner. BUT the opposition tends to be projected to be 'other people'

Challenging aspects: Moon square or opposition other person's Pluto

"You will need to work through some power struggles and even some psychological demons you bring with you from past experiences. Curbing reactiveness and projection is something you will be challenged to resolve through trial and error. Because your feelings are so intense, fear of loss can be generated, which in turn can give rise to jealousy, control or possessiveness. These emotional responses will not get you what you want. If you can't easily resolve your conflicts, seek professional help. Once you settle your power struggles with each other, you will have much to offer the world and your community."
http://www.cafeastrology.com/synastry/moon_pluto_aspects.html

"suggests a very demonstrative show of affections and a strong sensitivity to any signs of rejection. Occasionally, this aspect denotes the loner. You try to control your family and friends, often displaying emotional vehemence in your relationships. This aspect may show an alternating from aggressiveness to austerity in love and romance. This aspect brings jealousy, impulsiveness and sensuality. Perhaps because of your relationship with your parents, you may feel rejected occasionally, and you may seek drastic solutions to your problems. You must learn to handle your attitude of intolerance in relationships." http://www.skyscript.co.uk/moonaspects.html#moopl

I wouldn't call chart ruler and 4th house ruler in aries conj venus in 10th AS intense. firstly mercury conj venus shows you can express venusian communications, either written or verbal, but mercur is afflicted with square to saturn and neptune.

so, mercury/saturn will be more reserved in expressions, is good for study and research. mercury/neptune has a vivid imagination and day dreams and reads too much between the lines...

besides, mercury is conj 11th and should be interpreted as if there...inanyevent..

hmmmm, mercury is within 5' of 11th house cusp and should be interpreted as if in 11th not 10th..

Planets conjunct a house cusp http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showpost.php?p=202304&postcount=7 http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?p=205033#post205033
Planets conj House cusp
“Ascendant at 15’ Libra and Jupiter 13’ Libra. That would place Jupiter in the 12th house, right? But many thoughtful astrologers would read this as Jupiter being conjunction with Ascendant, and end up reading it as bringing its action to bear in the first house, rather than in the 12th.
This same idea would apply for each and every house cusp. If the planet is IN THE SAME SIGN as the sign on the next house cusp, and close enough to be CONJUNCT WITH that next house cusp, the action of the planet will be directed into oncoming house” http://www.astrology-numerology.com/inhouses.html http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14887 http://www.astrologyweekly.com/forum/showpost.php?p=125412&postcount=4
Ptolemy says the influence of the house begins to be felt 5° before the actual cusp. http://www.astrologycom.com/houses.html

“Astrologers have seen a body influencing the house it is about to enter, time and time again. All theorizing aside, the planet casting its shadow ahead works. I can speak from personal experience, as well as reading ancient texts. If you discover this as true, then the next question may be, "Just how close must a body be to a cusp before it begins to be felt in the neighboring house?"
I've seen some authors say 3 degrees. I've seen some that give 5 degrees. I have seen some that even give 8 degrees. And there may be other variations.” http://astronuts.tribe.net/thread/90c9f417-5086-4ff0-b31f-c904fe99baca
