Met this guy three days ago and I'm floored. Chemistry is off the chart and it feels like we share a brain, even on the weirdest, most obscure subjects. We both remarked at how familiar we seem to each other. Met at a conference, spent six hours straight talking until we realized it was four in the morning, made out on the spot... already planning to do a long-distance relationship. I NEVER move that fast with people. Is it the conjunct ascendants? Sun conjunct moon double whammy, even though the orb is wide? Something else? The Mars and Moon square Pluto worries me, but there is nice stuff as well... any hope for this one? IP: Logged |

Sun conjunct mc can be powerful and binding and moon conj mars is great for sexual attraction.

There's definitely alot of attraction, but seeing all the big squares, you're going to clash like mad and misunderstand each other probably several months into things. =/IP: Logged |

And one of you has sun in leo so it's not really a sun conjunct moon since they're not in the same sign? And I see you have moon square moon, moon square mars (by sign), sun and mercury square mars, venus and mercury square venus (sign), lol even with the asc conjunct, I think this won't last long cos pretty soon you'll start fighting over everything. You obviously met due to fate, but this appears to be somebody you'll learn lessons from, that won't be with you for long. Oh and the connection is bc of the asc conjuncting, your vertexes conjuncting (indicating fate =) and your sun conjunct moon in taurus. IP: Logged |

featherlightly, i think they meant to say that one has moon in leo and the other is the one with sun in cancer but even so, yes, it is considered a conjunction, still. i had a brief encounter with the mars square moon in synastry and typed this up from what i've known and experienced, so, i dunno.. http://www.linda-goodman.com/ubb/Forum24/HTML/210448.html -maybe it'll prove to be useful. It's not a close conjunction, and leo and cancer are VERY different signs, so I wouldn't count it? Leo likes attention and is more confident, is happy and flamboyant. Cancer is sensitive and is kinda insecure.IP: Logged |

it doesn't mean that it isn't a conjunction; they're also luminaries and probably the most important personal planet to take into consideration: http://www.astrostar.com/Astrology-Aspects-Conjunctions.htm and with the signs in question, they're in mutual reception. IP: Logged |

But that's talking about having the aspect natally which is a completely different scenario. Still does not negate the fact they have ALOT of big squares. Gonna have some major problems 4+ months into the relationship.IP: Logged |

UPDATE: Oooooh, the squares are emerging now, haha.On one hand, I really want to pursue this because we are creepily similar in every regard. Talking to him is insanely easy because I never have to explain anything -- he immediately understands where I'm going after just a few words (probably our moon conjunct Mercury and Mercury sextile Mercury, along with the other conjunctions). I think we could have a lot of fun together doing spontaneous stuff... But we are clashing over something TOTALLY stupid, which is the fact that I *hate* to talk on the phone, whereas he wants to talk for several hours each night and be in constant communication throughout the day. I literally am phobic of the phone because I have trouble understanding what people are saying if I don't have a visual (words or face) to go along with it. I'm an email and text-message person. Right now I have a ton of work stress and projects to finish by the end of the month, and don't have time to chat with him for that long each day... this is unacceptable to him, haha. Apart from that, he's sort of annoying me in ways I can't quite put my finger on. Maybe because we're so similar, we share the same flaws, and I get annoyed when I see the qualities I don't like in myself reflected in him. Plus there's another long-time friend of mine who I suddenly got a crush on. The synastry isn't as impressive but I feel like my heart is more open to him than to the guy above. Gah. What should I do? The sun/moon double whammy guy wants me to fly across the country and come spend a month with him after Christmas. Up until now I was totally on board with that, but I'm having hesitations now -- I can't tell if it's intuition or just feeling kind of b*tchy right now because I'm under a lot of professional pressure. This is the other guy I'm suddenly interested in. We've been friends/colleagues for the past year and a half... he was 100% in the friend zone for me until just recently, when all of a sudden (literally in a matter of seconds) I realized I actually have a big crush on him. IP: Logged |

It's a few months later now, and... mintgirl nailed it. We still have a very intense 'connection,' but it totally devolved into weird mind games and disagreements. He tries to psychoanalyze me a lot and makes assumptions about my past and my personality that are completely untrue, and tries to "help" me by giving condescending lectures on what he believes my problems are. I'm totally turned off and want nothing to do with him at this point. Bleh. IP: Logged |
