For the last couple of months, I've been feeling a bit discontent in my life as far as relationships go. When I'm out and about doing things that are important to me such as working on school things, working at my job, or being around my friends, it doesn't really affect me. But when I'm at home, I just get this feeling of discontent. Like something is missing.

From the time I was 15-19 I was constantly wrapped up in some sort of emotional relationship. My first bf was an Aries and it lasted for a year and a half (on and off). There were many issues, and I finally cut it off. A couple months after that I was with a Libra. Again, many issues and differences, and we both eventually decided to just be friends. After being with the Libra male, I decided to go on a little break from relationships. I dated a lot, but nothing really seemed to interest me. Now here I am at 21 years of age. I just broke things off with a Capricorn male a week ago, and almost everything was good, except one thing I just couldn't really deal with.

I feel like it's extra hard for me to find a good relationship, and I wonder why that is? Or is it just because I was not compatible with these guys? And if that's the case, what am I compatible with?

I can post their (old bfs) charts if someone would like, just let me know .

Here is my chart! Any insight is greatly appreciated.

Welcome

Moon square Mars is a highly emotional, combustible and passionate combination. The square brings such intense feelings and moods to crisis point, so these people more than most, need to vent this great energy into some project which fuses the Moon with Mars. This could manifest in a variety of ways; starting at the most base level would be sexual conquesting. In a man it would be more likely to be a great appetite for women, plain and simple. In a woman it would just be a need to express themselves sexually, otherwise they may feel like they have permanent premenstrual tension. If the sexual expression is thwarted in any way then of course the flip side is great anger and rage.

The next level up would be a great urge to protect and defend their family, but also a need for their family to get ahead. They will work long hours so their children go to the best schools, success and competativeness is encouraged, but they may be a little too gung-ho and pushy with their kids. This could also describe a mother who was very feisty and passed on the message to her child that failure was not an option. This can produce very precocious and cocky Moon square Mars kids, or conversely a child who finds it difficult to express their anger. A waxing square may be less conscious and therefore more passive-aggressive whereas a waning square has had more time to utilise the great potential in this aspect and could really move mountains with it, Gandhi below is a good example. http://darkstarastrology.com/moon-square-mars/

MARS opposite PLUTO
The opposition between Mars and Pluto shows a defiant attitude. Sometimes there is a lack of control over aggressive tendencies. You can alienate some people as you assert your rights, or what you believe to be your rights. You must evaluate the positive and negative aspects of any idea or plan. Always consider the values of compromise before taking any action. Both Mars and Pluto are associated with sexual drive since these two planets are the co-rulers of Scorpio. With this aspect in opposition your sexual drive will be strongly affected and in some conflict. You may be led to form extremely strong alliances, but it may as easily cause severe rifts in relationships. The drive may be to gain power over others. It is certain that you will encounter problems in your personal affairs.
http://astrology-numerology.com/aspects-mars.html#Oppositions

With Mars-Pluto the heat builds up inside like a pressure cooker. Mars-Pluto people need a way to release pressure on a regular basis or they will explode. The cause can be buried rage or unaddressed anger (popular choices) but really, anything can trigger this aspect. Mars, planet of physical action, has to do something with energy and it doesn’t care what that something is. Pluto wants that something to be consuming. The best solution would be something like a controlled burn.

Thank you ariesdragon! . I really appreciate you taking the time to read my chart and look up those links.

I can definitely relate to a lot of things said in both of those descriptions, but I don't feel like this is what is getting in the way? I think it might be something more emotional? What kind of description of a girl did you get from that? Just curious. It seems like most of those are just telling me that I need to get laid.

Lol at that song!

Hi Stars Melody, I was looking at your chart and noticed I am exactly a week older than you (:

We have some different placements and aspects, but I also have mars opposite Pluto, and Moon opposite Mars. These can make it difficult to keep a clear head when it comes to relationships.

I also noticed you have Sun tightly conjunct Saturn. I also have this aspect in my 7th house (one on one relationships) which I find to be very restrictive in letting my guard down with other people. Yours is in your 5th house which could indicate restrictions with love and romance. Your NN is also conjunct Sun and Saturn so this indicates an especially difficult yet potentially very rewarding area of your life.

Saturn is on its way out of Libra right now and I have found this Saturn transit to be BRUTAL. You have 5 planets in Capricorn so maybe this could have something to do with the isolation or frustrations you’ve been feeling lately. Not to mention the impending Neptune transit which will conjunct your Moon which could make it difficult to keep a firm grasp on reality emotionally speaking. (I’m not looking forward to this either as it will square my Moon).

Anyway, don’t be too discouraged you also have some very positive aspects just hang in there!

I'm glad you did! I can relate with feeling a bit "restricted" as far are relationships go. Some of the issues I've been having recently were based off a lack of interesting conversation with the other person. I slowly let my guard down, and if the person I'm interested in doesn't let theirs down after I do (in a matter of days or weeks while I'm still letting someone in) then I just let the person go completely. I actually become less attracted to them if they can't "keep up" with me as far as conversing goes. Does this show somewhere in my chart to you?

Hi Stars Melody,

Sorry for the delayed reply! I’m still really an amateur with astrology, but I guess what I would say is that with Saturn in your 5th house you might find it easier to gauge your compatibility with someone based on how well you relate mentally, rather than how they make you feel, since letting your emotional guard down might be more difficult.

You also have Mercury in Capricorn conjunct Neptune and Uranus, so that to me says you are a very intelligent, intuitive, and interesting person even if you might express yourself in a calculated or reserved way! The influence of Capricorn may just be that you rationalize things and people in a very compartmentalized way, and if you know you’re not going to have a connection with someone on that level, why waste your time…

Sorry if any of this is way off, like I said this is just going off of what I notice from my amateur perspective

Oh, no worries. Thank you for replying.

You're doing very well! I actually had a face to face chart reading with an astrologer a couple of years ago and I believe she mentioned the same thing about mercury being conjunct Uranus. That definitely makes sense the way you put it!

I also just looked this up for mercury trine ASC: "You are attracted to others primarily through their minds; if they measure up intellectually, then you get to know the rest of them."

And

" Your love relationships must be based partly on intellectual rapport, or you easily become bored." for Uranus trine ASC.

Hey, sorry I keep coming back to this thread so late!

That Uranus trine ASC aspect would definitely make sense too. You also have Moon and Venus in 6th house so maybe this could put more of an emphasis on communication in relationships as well…

I’ve been thinking lately about my Venus opposite Jupiter aspect (mine is in very tight orb), and I noticed you have it too in a much wider orb, and I’m just curious to see what your opinion on it is…

”Your romantic relationships are touch and go - you make sincere-seeming gestures until your lover suggests a more contractual arrangement, when you suddenly lose interest. Always a bridesmaid or best man, never a bride or groom; seems particularly appropriate for you. Whether you will be married depends on your willingness to accept the responsibility of such a contract; it isn’t that you lack the opportunity.”
http://www.strangehouse.com/natal-aspects/venus-opposition-jupiter-2.html

“ This aspect indicates that the mother of the native does not relate well to her femininity; she may be going through a period in which she considers herself a second-class citizen during this person's formative years. A female with this opposition will learn not to accept love easily, nor will she expect that any woman can be appreciated for herself. A male will have little feeling for the feminine principle; often this aspect indicates a male who doesn't appreciate what his wife does in the home to make it attractive; nor does he really appreciate the fact that she loves him, if she does. He may fall in and out of love as does his female counterpart, for he turns on and off. These people bring an expectancy of loss into their love relationships. If they can understand that this attitude can be changed, that they can develop their own expectancies, that the universe is metaphysical, that it gives what one expects; if they understand that the pattern was learned from the mother at a time when she was relating poorly, then they can teach themselves to change. Sometimes this aspect develops a selfishness that needs to be overcome, for it indicates a tendency to want immediate satisfaction to all wants.

This aspect can be analyzed as follows: the Jupiter (relating principle) opposes Venus ('I want' facet of the personality). This can be interpreted as 'I don't relate to what I want', and can be the basis for forming individual relating patterns that are brought about because the person thinks he is able to appreciate his surroundings when in fact he is relating discontent. The aspect can indicate a confusion of goals, and some signs may indicate an inability to reach the goals desired.”
http://www.scribd.com/doc/59633613/11/Natal-Venus-in-Aquarius

Most of the other things I’ve read about this aspect have been pretty negative, and I don’t think they’re all true of me, but I guess I can relate to the touch and go relationships, and some of the other things mentioned. I know 3 males with this aspect- 2 of them are gay and the other could be categorized as a tad chauvinistic lol.

Sorry this is random, since you’re also a girl with this aspect, I was just curious to know your thoughts…

Oh, no, thanks for replying! That's actually really interesting. I can relate to a bit of what that is saying.

The whole "touch and go" feeling. One day I want this and have all these expectations, and then the next I can be like "eh" about it. Lol. I don't, however, feel any confusion with my goals (possibly because I'm such a capricorn). I know what I want, I just have to find the right person or situation for it. The variables that play a part in *getting* to that goal is what I'm on and off about, if that makes sense?

And when it comes to relationships, I'm pretty picky. I've found two guys before who I would have kept if they had not made things miserable, so I know it's not an impossible feat. Just an annoying one where I tend to get bored very easily and toss it away 0.0. Lol.

Yeah, that definitely makes sense! I feel the same way lol.

You said your first two relationships were with an Aries and Libra, maybe the Sun sign clashes had something to do with the problems between you guys? But of course synastry is so complicated, and there are so many other factors to consider…. Anyway, we’re young and have plenty of time for serious relationships lol. I know people in their young twenties getting married and I can’t help but feel like they are probably making a mistake by committing to someone that young. It’s honestly nice to enjoy being single and be free to figure out who you are without being in a serious committed relationship with someone else

Ya I'm assuming it had a bit to do with that. And both had earth sign moons which I'm not a huge fan of either.

Very true! I would never dream of getting married so young. I do enjoy the single life, I just wouldn't mind having someone else either.
