Sun conjunct Venus, Venus conjunct Mars etc are all aspects I see come up however nobody ever talks about the harsh aspects, aka the WARNINGS.

Can anybody list harsh aspects that defy conventional aspects in synastry?

For one, I heard Mars sq Saturn is very prominent in couples who have married and sustained the relationship.

However, I do believe personal planets touching another persons 7th house, 4th house etc do add greater significance.

Aspects such as trines and sextiles between personal planets don't seem to me as 'good' aspects at all. There has to be conflict in order for one to grow in the relationship. To confront them and evolve is a choice people have..

The stressful aspects can and do help strengthen unions but they also have the power to tear it apart. It then, is the more favorable aspects that tend to help hold the union together. Think of it this way; some poor couples have little to show for their life together but they are happy with each other (This is a lot of stressful aspects with one or two favorable aspects supporting them). On the other hand, there is this rich couple who are constantly fighting (They have a lot of favorable aspects but their stressful aspects are of the type that causes them to constantly find fault with each other). The key; the majority of aspects in a Synastry chart are stressful, aspects do not cancel eachother out, so there must be enough of the good aspects present to help the union stay even keel.

But there is just one little problem with that statement. How do you identify positive people for yourself? The best way is to follow daily transiting planet (either from the present to the future or from the past to the present) aspects that form against your natal planets. Any transiting day that you consider as a good day will, also, mean a person born on that day is also a good person for you know too. This is because: Transiting aspects to your natal planets equal Synastry aspects of the same day transiting aspects.

A few notes:

This is not an all inclusive Synastry aspect list. - This list of aspects highlights the major specialty aspects many of us would like to see in our charts. The aspects we tend to focus on. Rarely do we get to see a large number of these aspects in one chart.

Soul Mates -
based on Synastry Astrology. - Ideally, we think of these couples as happy and compatible. But by way of Synastry aspect combinations, it is possible to see Soul Mate type aspects in charts that show the potential for very turbulent unions. The individuals pertaining to these charts could prove to be very formidable combatants. I once heard someone say "He's a great lover but I just don't like him". Two movies come to mind where we might be able to see Soul Mate interactions in play, one I believe was called the War of the Roses and the other I believe was called the Money Pit. In both cases, the Soul Mate instincts had a hard time in letting go.

Relationships -
Relationships are about both sides. You each must find value in it. Not equal value, but rather, the type of value that gives each of you, in your own way, reason to stay in the relationship.

Many of us know how depressing things become by discussing the meaning behind some of the stressful aspects. So it is probably best to discuss them on a need to know basis.
