If you really don't want a child than take the precautions so that you don't get pregnant...

The only other variation I can think of may be reconciliation and being giddy with happiness like you did at an age when you were more innocent.

No matter what, I prefer the idea of releasing the mourning over my ex - I've spent enough time in my life mourning things and an entire year of that seems unbelievably sad.

hannarama, do you find that this method of adding cards is accurate? I've never heard of that before.

2 of Cups is not a "new" card necessarily. It's a 2, if it was absolutely brand spankin' new it'd be an Ace. The 2 signifies a bridge, a connection, perhaps it means you looking at 2 people getting to know each other and for some reason this will matter to you. For whatever reason that's how I keep feeling it playing out for you. That these cards are describing an event you'll watch (a wedding, or proposal maybe?) rather than it happening to YOU directly. The cards, while positive in nature, don't seem inviting to me. And yes it's usually accurate but then again I incorporate it with my summary of the cards and I don't explain how I came to that conclusion, so it depends on the combo. Including my little method perhaps one of your ex's is getting married and will invite you to the wedding?

I agree with hanna. If ur expecting a relationship not having to do with an ex, u would have needed to pull an ace as those represent new beginnings.

Ok i have to jump in... My two cents...

Iam sorry i dont agree.

If using RW deck...

If you look closely the man is almost wearing the same outfit as the "fool".... Coupled with the 6 of cups to me just says kids/pregnancy.

But lets take that aside for a minute...

When you take into comsideration the retrograde planets for your solar return.. An ex might come into the picture, alto thats normal... They always come back for a second bite at the apple lol

I dont factor that in per se... Again, Take the whole pregnancy/kid thing out for a moment...

And i say a younger lover at best. He could help you be more self reflective and help you find your thirst for passion, for life again. A rebirth (6 of cups, the kids on it represent new beginings) exploring new adventures, new vigor.

Aaah young love

Well I'm not expecting a relationship not having to do with an ex. I'm not really expecting anything in particular. But my question was about my love life this coming year so I can say that I was expecting the cards to reflect that in some way.

I agree, a 2 is not 'new' energy but it does signify two people right? Even if it's just a love affair. The 2 made sense to me until I asked for clarity of the situation an then I got the 6. So wouldn't the 6 still in some way have to do with my love life, as opposed to someone else's?

The only way I could see observing another person's wedding having to do with my love life (in a way that affected me) is if my most recent ex got engaged - but I doubt he would invite me to his wedding since that's not his style.

Curiouser and curiouser.

Oh, and yes the Venus Rx makes me wonder too...

Hannarama, did you happen to see the Celtic cross spread I put up earlier today on this thread? Or did I already ask you that? I hadn't done one in a while and thought that maybe it would clarify things in a much greater sense, since there seemed to be a lack of consensus about the 6 of Cups.

I used to get the 2 of Cups frequently when me and my long term current bf first started going out years ago..I don't get it at all anymore, rarely if ever..so to me it's a "kind of new" card like "butterflies in the stomach" after a while, it stops showing up..at least in my experience.

Empress,

Yes, that's how I read the 2 of Cups as well - butterflies in the stomach feelings about someone.

June,

I officially give you all the baby vibes from this thread!
