If you drew two tarot cards, each one for one guy in your life, and the one card would be the 6 of cups and the other card would be the lovers, how would you interprete that in terms of their meaning/ purpose for your life right now?IP: Logged |

I think this combo is a positive one...2, 6's mean a nice harmony... 3 is the holy trinity, mind body, spirit.... Look for the numerological meaning of 6/3 for clarity. But to add a twist... One of you is blissfully unaware that a choice/ a fork in the road is comming up next... Good/happy/easy going/ no boat roacking times had been had or is happening at the moment... But something is culmunating. A climax is about to be reached... I dunno what tho... The calm before the storm... Not all impending upcoming events are doom and gloom... 1 or 2 clarifyimg cards would be needed for more in depth analyzes...

Thanks, but what I meant was that I had drawn the 6 of cups for ONE guy, and the Lovers for the OTHER. (sort of asking what the purpose/ meaning/ role of each of them is in my life right now). But I am going to draw two clarifying cards for each.
Guy 1:
6 of cups 6 of swords 10 of wands Guy 2: Lovers Ace of cups Hanged Man IP: Logged |

Guy 1:6 of cups 6 of swords 10 of wands Is going thru a transformation... Seperation/divorce/travel... Lots of hard work/struggles ahead. Guy 2: Lovers Ace of cups Hanged Man Needs to make up his mind, or the time is fast approaching in regards to start a relation ship/ or restart a previous existing one... He has faith and high hope for it to work out. Going into it with good intentions. IP: Logged |

Not sure what you mean by purpose or role, but guy number 2 to me looks like he has someone else in his life and doesn't know whether to choose you or the other. Guy number 1 looks like his purpose (don't really know what you mean by that though, so take these interpretations with a grain of salt) is to be there for you in the good and sad times. It seems like his role is to cheer you up and always be there for you. That's just how I see it though

Thank you both for your interpretations. It is very much appreciated.I think though that maybe I haven`t been exactly clear on what I wanted to ask myself, and probably shouldn`t have done it on impulse. But both interpretations make sense to me and give me something to think about. Thanks.

Since you asked about their role in your life I took it as the guy with the 6 of cups to mean (with the clarification) that your time to be together has passed but you can look back on your relationship with him with fondness and growth. A relationship you learned from. The other guy represented by the lovers card feels like there is a great potential for love here but there is a choice of whether to go done that path together or not. It seems to be in limbo. I'm feeling if you want to be with either of them, the guy with the lovers card has the greatest potential. I'm fairly certain he loves you as well. IP: Logged |

Thank you, LIttle Cloud. That resonated deeply inside of me. You know, I often think that tarot is not so much a divination-tool (though maybe it is and I am just not good in it), but often it serves as illustrate thoughts, feelings, knowledge we have deep inside, and simply haven`t been able to verbalize or understand or even accept yet. Sometimes it is easier to see the truth in the picture of a card, than your own heart. Oh Gosh, I stop before I am getting all melodramatic here. lol

I'm glad it felt right. I agree sometimes its just about reading the images in front of you, kinda like sorting all the craziness inside of you. It's what I did when you listed your cards, I just mentally pictured the way they look in my own deck (not standard Rider) and it helped. Other times I feel like I see something else that isn't depicted by the cards, in my minds eye...it's odd. And no you were not melodramatic at all. You just found a truth within yourself and that is a powerful feeling. IP: Logged |
