You see, in the II of Wands, the Merchant sends his ship out in search of treasure (his bounty). He is a wealthy Merchant as his cloaks show. In the III of Wands, the Merchant has gone trough some very difficult times and has been without resources. See his cloaks, they have been mended over and over again with mismatched material of a far less quality, like a pheasant's cloaks. This man has experienced hard times and financial loss for trusting in his personal vision, however, through all those hard and very difficult times, his vision finally came to fruition and his ships are now returning.

All this card was telling you, as a single card and not intermingled with any others to tell a complete story, was to TRUST in your personal vision and to NOT give up when things don't go the way you expected or would like. It most likely was telling you that no you probably won't get this one, and maybe not the next one but don't give up because you will achieve your goals in the long run. Continue to believe in your vision and continue to move in that direction. There will be difficult times but in the end, you will prevail and will receive what you make efforts to achieve.

i just wanted to let you know that indeed I went there (though I had cancelled before and then decided otherwise) and I had a really great time!
