Some advice:Salt is for energy cleaning. Any kind of salt is ok. U can get pretty special salt at whole foods or just plain table salt work just as good. It's good to clear your cards energy on a regular basis. And never let anyone else touch your cards. Unless of course you are doing a reading for them. It is appropriate for you to hand over your deck to them to shuffle the cards before you go ahead and deal the cards. IP: Logged |

About time in tarot. Its very difficult. Time is elusive. At best you can have a rough outline. I still struggle with timing, but i still throw out a timeline as a general guideline.If you google timing in tarot you get a whole bunch of time frames formulas. Just like every reader has their own unique way of interpreting the cards... Time frame is more or less guided by intuition. Example: Just like it takes one time to conceive a baby...figuring out when that time is, is hard. No matter how much you track ovulation you can still miss your fertile window and it may take months even years to conceive lol My own personal general rule is... Wands are the fastest to happen
Swords are the swiftest
Cups are the third
Pentacles are the last. Then you have to take the number on the card and the type. Major arcanas are usually what is happening right this very minute. Aces and court cards no matter the suit take action quite quickly. Its the middle cards, in my opinion that slow down the pace. Whatever is happening in the card usually tells you the mood and perhaps the season... The number on the top of the card... Can be added with all the others and divided by however many cards you have drawn... To give you a rough number/idea at what you are looking at... Its all very subjective... Its more or less how the cards speak to you and what your gut tells you. If you feel things will happen quickly then say so, if it doesnt thats ok too... Dont get too hung up on timing because you can loose perspective on a very small technical detail... Because you can never truly accurately predict or make someone do something if they are not ready... IP: Logged |

Oooo thx for all the advice!! I think my tarot style, and just how i am, will be more of a relaxed, rules optional kinda thing. I feel that the less rules you have, the more the cards can do.  your reading shall commence right away!! Oh lol while i was waiting i did a wing it reading for me. Well, i did a reading for myself. See how i did? Lol and if i interpreted it all correct-ish....My Question was: Does Josiah love me? I decided to pull 4 cards. 1. VIII of Wands.
I see this as go forth with what i have been doing, as it seems to be working. 2. Queen of Swords.
Stay true to myself. Mind my own business and dont let people discourge me or bring me down! 3. XXI The World.
Again with being myself and staying true to myself! Surround myself with people who will support me and stay strong. 4. II of Swords
things will start working out for the better. Just chill and good things will start falling into place! And i pulled one more for clarification: XV the Devil-Reversed.
I may be confused. Dont be intimidated. And dont let the past ruin the present. How did i do here???

Awesome! Thats the best way. Go with the flow and let the cards speak to you. Use your own intuitive knowledge to express the cards energy/message. I just wanted to give you a general overview of some sticky spots in tarot and that's usually time frames. It's very difficult to pin point any event. So it's ok if you get it wrong. I get it wrong more often than not lol. Before you know it. You will have your very own method and set of guidelines you follow with your cards. But the lack of cups heart emotions, and pentacles for grounding, may indicate that right now is puppy love/lust. Devil is lust. Animal magnetism. Pure raw at its most basic level. Reversed. He is nobodys slave/prisoner.

I should point out, that most readers would advice a newbie to not use reversals from the get go... Some dont even use them at all. I never followed that rule. Like a true gemini i jumped right in lol. But I had my godmother to guide me... So i suggest you follow whatever suits you best. IP: Logged |

To me the 6 of pentacles is a maybe card. Depends on the surrounding cards aswell. But i agree. Extra effort/cooperation might be needed if iam serious about getting it rented. Still playing with the idea... The death card, is a card i still struggle with... I guess in this case it says reaching back to go forward. Maybe help from someone to get this moving on and close this chapter. quote:
