On a personal note, at a time in my life, I changed jobs very often. And I liked. But each time, before the first day, I was always anxious. It's normal and this stress will help you to be very effective on your first day.

Back on the reading...
I asked for you, what will this changes will give you ?

You left a situation a bit difficult in the hope to ameliorate your professionnal life. Yes it a good decision but you will have to be careful to not use your old ways (meanings: you can be a bit lazy or use the minimum to be effective).
