Hi season,I tend to use the placidus method for general chart analysis, but all in all I tend to read the layout of the planets as a pattern before I start itemising the analysis. So when I read a chart it is an overall image that I am reading and I get sensations and imagery off the layout of the placements.

natally you have sun-merc opposition uranus. uranus rules 3rd, sun rules 9th, merc rules 7th. potentially you meet significant others in far away places where they are like one of the locals, or you meet significant others locally that are foreign/from far away places.

currently you have your solar arc Jupiter bang on this dynamic: conjunct sun-merc on and opposing the 3rds ruler uranus in 9th. thus you have to expand/travel further afield then locally to connect with potential partners, so you are not even inclined to meet them locally if they are foreign, you actually have to widen your horizons to meet them.

local options that might be ok for casual romantic hookups but likely to be beneath you in your opinion at the moment, is shown by SA merc in 4th square natal mars (ruler 5th) - meaning "i can't talk to them they are in conflict with my upbringing/core values" and SA venus-saturn in the 3rd squaring natal moon on the 7th cusp ruling the 8th - meaning "eww, the local fauna don't really engage/appeal to me as potential significant others".

the island imagery for finding a romantic other to suit your more passionate side is shown by progressed sun quincunx and progressed moon opposition neptune in 11th, and SA mars on this same 9 degrees but in Pisces and therefore trining neptune. Neptune is ruled by pluto in the 9th squaring natal moon on the 7th (ruler of 8th): with neptune in scorpio in 11th making more intimately and whimsical/ideal communities/groups/settings. SA mars in 3rd in neptune ruled pisces, translating as passion for the locals in these intimate/dissolving communities in foreign parts (pluto ruling neptune in 11th).

don't follow my suggestions if they are not right for you, but it seems that you can reach, out of the way small lands, on a song and a shoestring budget in this manner (and I can't be bothered to delineate the astrology of it, so its up to you whether you bother with it).

as follows: a friend, similar age, married, fair short wavy hair with pleasant but almost pinched face due to her frugal nature ie. she is not inclined to self indulge, can team up with you and embark on a saving debacle that would put the sisters of charity to shame. It has something to do with coupons, collecting them from everyone and anyone you meet and get chatting to, and basically they don't save much in bits and pieces, so many people don't use them, but together the coupons can make considerable savings. And once people get the gist that you are trying to save for a much needed holiday away, they will be happily saving up and giving you their coupons and junk for a garage sale, not all but most people, will think what the hell, you might as well get some use out of it. I don't know what the coupons are about.

Anyhow, don't feel like you've trashed your only chance if you don't do the above, cos after all what would I know...So yeah, then you have to do your homework, and apply to some place where you can work for your board and food and I think that might mean domestic work/cooking but might lead to other avenues of some sort of teaching on a basic kind of social/contributing level, and I think roughly it could be a 3mth stint, with a return visit 6 mths later, and I also think you might be able to rope 'said' friend along with you for the adventure as she is pretty much bored silly.

I couldn't be bothered with it myself, but you might think it an option. If you do decide on doing that kind of thing it fits around 18mths time-2yrs ahead. Is the friend's name Diane (names seem immediately like a long shot). And the destination seems to be 130 km long with a peninsula, and the clue of the place is pret-a-porter (and I googled it and it means ready to wear in french, I think), and also I googled around and think it is the Island of Djerba off Tunisia in Northern Africa. And amazingly, it is known as the island of forgetfulness (very Neptunian), and looks like the shoreline is 133km long, and it is joinged to the mainland by not so much as a peninsula, but a causeway. And just reading a blurb on it, it says women travelers are very safe when travelling alone but be careful of pick pockets, otherwise crime is low. There is of significance/interest to you I think, a jewish importance about the place, and much folklore/myth and culture. Looks like there is a 'volunteers abroad' thing going on there too, though the dumb page wouldn't load, my internet is slowed coz i used up my usage - methinks.

Aww, I wanna go there now too, I can't though, and I don't wanna collect no dumb coupons - pooh

and i think as per often the case, the pret-a-porter thing is about that their are Berbers living there ie. berber wool carpet, and hence ready to wear - as you can wear (use/walk on) a carpet, or maybe wear some other berber wool thing such as a garment.

so when the clue that descends from the great beyond measures up with other clues/possibilities it is almost done and dusted that I have hit the proverbial nail on its head.

best wishes
