I'm trying to figure out what in this Leo's chart makes him so emotionally dramatic and intense.

I'm still learning to analyze natal charts but I noticed he has Pluto in the 1H, which radiates intensity. Pluto also conjuncts his Scorpio ASC BUT the conjunction is too wide to have a real impact. Though the conjunction is in an angular house, Pluto is in its home sign of Scorpio, plus Pluto is a singleton(The only planet in a water sign). The conjunction lies in Scoprio adding more weight.

I thought we all that Leo energy and maybe his Aquarius Moon it would tone down his intense side but when his Pluto passions are stirred he can he a handleful to deal with -______-

Advice, comments, opinions?
What are other major points in his chart?

Here's his chart, sorry for posting a a clickable link. Forgot how to do it:

I have a similar chart. Leo with a Scorpio Ascendant and fixed moon, although mine is in Taurus. Water singleton. My pluto is in my 12th conjunct my ASC though.

I have gone through a couple bouts with depression. I figured it might have been transits, though.

edit: one thing I did notice is his sun and venus are in a critical degree.
I have a guy friend Leo with his sun and venus right there too. Also a water singleton with a fixed moon. but his ASC is pisces

Yes, it is the 1st house Pluto. It's very widely conjunct the ASC, by 9 degrees, so I probably would not count it as conjunct... still, having a 1H Pluto is an intense placement. Any planet in H1 will color the immediate impression and outward personality, the sense of identity and self. So it's safe to say that your friend feels his inner and outer identity goes with Scorpio, Plutonian and Martian qualities. The Leo adds the dramatic flair to the already slightly dramatic, brooding Scorpio qualities. It's even more pressing that he has a 29 degree Leo Sun, a Sun in the fated degree, which can show some anxiety or uncertainty expressing the Sun sign. So he might have some identity issues.

Notice also how Pluto squares Mercury, which can show intensely obsessive and unrelenting thinking. I know someone with this who has OCD but is a very deep, sharp thinker. This aspect probably adds great depths to his thinking but also at times, too much intensity. Since Mercury falls in Leo this is expressed dramatically and openly, for all to see. Mercury in Leo can lack stability in its expression and be extremely dramatic - add Pluto tension to the mix and you have explosive drama.

Another thing is that he has an Aqua Moon in 0 degrees, which means unlimited expression of Aqua tendencies... no limits there. Having a planet in 0 degrees is tricky since it's hyped up, unrestricted and sometimes too unrestricted. It can intensify the best and worst qualities of the planet and how it functions with the sign its in. So in his case, he could be extremely aloof emotionally, eccentric even, very unpredictable... I wouldn't say it would necessarily tone down the drama, since this in itself can be a handful. Still, it could make him suddenly emotionally removed, probably turning off that explosive drama, right? Or maybe it makes him emotionally detached when people confront him about the drama, or just emotionally erratic in general. I see many possibilities here with Aqua at its worst in the Moon. This Moon is the humanitarian Moon so he probably has great compassion for the outsider, also groups of friends, but the 0 degrees will be challenging.

Note also all the quincunxes, the dashed green lines. Many of his planets that represent the outer identity, the way he thinks and expresses himself and also how he shows love (Venus, Mercury and Sun all conjunct in Leo) is misaligned with his emotional drive and deepest feelings, the Aqua Moon. This seems like he could fluctuate between being overly involved, and then totally removed. Completely flamboyant and 'all about me' and then suddenly self-conscious of these Leonine expressions... so he switches them off, since he feels like he's being too self-centered just by expressing himself to his full potential, since these planets are all above the horizon. It's a tricky one to explain but I can see a lot of tension, regrets and difficulties with the female and male sides of the personality, which might lead to problems with mood swings.

@Sweet - Interesting and yes I noticed the Square between his Pluto and Mercury. He his a very intense deep thinker. I definitely agree on the explosive drama part as well.

I honestly don't see his Aqua Moon influence at all. He's actually very emotional and warm-hearted. Deeply cares about his friends, family, and lover. Though when he is slighted he can come off freezing cold and act as if you never existed. That could be the cool detachment of his Moon.

I see a lot of Leo qualities then he switches to being more reserved and quiet.

Actually that makes more sense. I was contemplating this and realized that your friend's quincunx planets are playing a different role that often happens with incompatible planets - the master-slave dynamic. Usually the planet positioned higher than the other will be the master while the one lower will be the slave. Since his Aqua Moon is lower he might feel like he has to suppress his true feelings and keep them at bay while his ego is the only thing that comes through. Difficulty in emotional expression is the reality since the Sun is squashing the Moon flat. But then the erratic function of a 0 degrees Aquarius Moon can shine through unexpectedly which is where that unexpected coldness and aloofness comes through the blockade that the Sun tries to create, so like with all quincunx aspects there is a definite imbalance where one planet is being expressed far too often and strongly - his Sun, Merc, Venus - and another suffers for it, and is seen as unexpected when it comes out - his Moon. I think I better understand what's going on now. I hope I helped.
