Although i cant say if that is in fact the reason behind why i met the person, but i am actually someone who spends too much time helping others and do not give enough time to myself.It has never really bothered me before but i have really been feeling the lonliness of it for the last so many years. With that being said, if this person was or is indeed sizing me up for what ever reason, it only means they do not understand me at all.

Reccently, i have learned one of the biggest lessons of my life after much pain. Only people that understand you belong next to you.

For example, an obstacle in a certain relationship would be that there is a third party involved and blocking a complete union beween two people. A third wheel. Or perhaps a different job or move to another state stops you from being together.

The challenge is like ....when say the two of you set up a house together that you have to figure out how to pay the bills, the color to paint the house etc. To me it is the fun part of a relationship, even if the card is negative. It is something that you will need to work together on....Like the two of you against the world type of thing. Thank you Dreaming! That does clarify the cards a bit Ah so is it safe to say, we view each other positively, but mentally/emotionally we don't?

I don't think I let him go (assuming that's what the Hanged Man meant). I think I was overbearing him emotionally. If anything, I feel like he was the one who let go. But how he feels about me, seems weird. I don't think he'd be the type to doubt me? Am I implying this right?

One guy, I knew in high school and had a crush on him for the longest time(been over 8 years this year). We reconnected last year through fb and I found myself falling hard and fast for him. I was in a relationship at that time and quickly realized it was not a good idea. He had told me a few times that he was not ready to settle down while I'm the type of girl who plays for keeps. Anyway, I eventually cut the contact and told him I couldn't keep speaking to him because it was starting to harm my relationship(could no longer speak objectively to him).

Fast forward to the present, I'm dating this wonderful guy but it's a long distance relationship and I'm starting to fully feel its effects now. My sweetie is busy often and has been engrossed in a project recently so our communication has waned for a bit since the end of October.

The high school crush comes back into my life and is sweeping me off my feet. I feel as if I know he still isn't ready to settle down, but also I am disinterested because

I get the sense that you are waiting for someone to grow up and possibly rectify his/her mistakes? This could be you but more likely it is a man in your life, who is a bit childish but someone you believe will mature. You are also reminiscent of a time gone by. Either you or him are stuck in the past and as a result are not growing.

If you continue to either believe he will grow up/ fix any mistake/ take responsibility or stay stuck in the past/waiting for someone, you will be worse off. One guy, I knew in high school and had a crush on him for the longest time(been over 8 years this year). We reconnected last year through fb and I found myself falling hard and fast for him. I was in a relationship at that time and quickly realized it was not a good idea. He had told me a few times that he was not ready to settle down while I'm the type of girl who plays for keeps. Anyway, I eventually cut the contact and told him I couldn't keep speaking to him because it was starting to harm my relationship(could no longer speak objectively to him).

Fast forward to the present, I'm dating this wonderful guy but it's a long distance relationship and I'm starting to fully feel its effects now. My sweetie is busy often and has been engrossed in a project recently so our communication has waned for a bit since the end of October.

The high school crush comes back into my life and is sweeping me off my feet. I feel as if I know he still isn't ready to settle down, but also I am disinterested because

Guess you need to maybe stay busy with work or with your friends....Or try to move closer to your sweetheart?

I would invest more time in the sweetheart who is busy with projects than some high school shmoe who contacts me irregularly and has no depth of feeling. I doubt that he is the marrying type based on what you described so even if you dropped your current sweetheart for him and attempted to make something happen, it is more probable that he would leave you handing and desperately alone and neglected.

He sounds like a jerk tbh.
