This tells me that as a person you're very strong in terms of your mind you're strong willed and I can see that very much in how you write, there may be a lot of joy around you at the moment or there will be a lot of joy coming your way. You may feel content at the moment with your surroundings. You may get betrayed or hurt by someone who's close to you in the near future but in a way, I think this is an excellent thing to happen as your life can then go on ahead without any burdens and you'll know who your friends are. I pulled both the Ten of Swords and the Eight of Wands together for the future so this will happen in sequence.

Since there is a lack of cups cards, I'd say love will not come at the moment, you'll need to wait for your life to move forward before that can happen

Seems to me like it will, but I would watch out for overly high expectations. Seems like it'll be successful (or at least a nice time) because someone who is usually loud and takes the reins will be a little more willing to share the spotlight and brainstorming? Ideally anyway!

SO WEIRD. For awhile now -- a long, LONG while -- the cards have shown me (both by self-readings and from readings done by others) that the next MVP in my life, someone I'll be with for awhile is the "Ten of Swords." He seems to have either been engaged and betrayed or recently divorced. Either way... he's been heading towards me for over a year. The fact that he shows up with the 8... that gives me some hope. I've been waiting to meet him, if only to see if the cards are right. Weird! Tarot is so cool and WEIRD, but in a great way.

To answer your question:

While I usually work better with preset layouts, I decided to just pull five and see what they said (more intuitive reading, I guess, I'm trying to beef up my skills!) Seems like in the future there's going to be a lot of merriment and lots of going out, mini-celebrations, etc., but I think it will be sort of... as a way to put off a rather painful situation involving the King (r). A partner, I'm thinking. Or someone who has become too dogmatic and bossy. At any rate, you're going to turn to more traditional means of life, perhaps seek help from a counselor or religious figure to help you make a decision you're putting off? I say this because of the Knight (r) and the 8 (r). Not looking for the truth so much and a reluctance to move on from something painful/emotional.

Well I've definitely taken some pretty stout hits in the past, and yes, the walls are pretty high. There is someone from my past that I had an extremely deep connection with—something that was truly frightening for both of us given the raw intensity of it—but nothing came from it. Right place, but desperately wrong time. I've always sort of believed though that I didn't want to commit myself to someone again without feeling that sort of pang. I tried several times, and it all went badly. I don't want him anymore, but the connection... oh buddy. Yes. So that was spot on and rather surprising you picked that up.
