I have a friend with a Taurus Moon in the 11th (I believe also ruled by Aries), and he is quite affectionate. I'm not sure what your other placements are, but his Moon is also trine Venus in Virgo, and has Sun in Libra...and water rising.

I'm not sure about the moon, but I have Taurus mars in 11th house (also ruled by Aries) and can relate to feeling like the Taurus characteristics don't come out full force in this house.

I'm sure even if you're not touchy feely you probably have a wide circle of friends and are a very caring person, and maybe like to be involved in social causes or organizations? Since the 11th house is intellectual and detached, I find for myself that is my first approach to things, and only after I'm comfortable will the Taurus traits of being sensual and grounded in the moment come out..
