Re aspects to 5th, 7th, and 8th house - My partner has no planets in these houses, whilst I have a moon in the 7th. The moon in 7th house has many aspects with his planets - conjunct Moon, opp Sun, square Asc. So, this as you said tend to generate strong attraction.

Would there be anything else with regard to symbol matching (I'm afraid there was too much info for me to take on board).

Re house relations: my aqua 7th seems to be conjunct his aqua 3rd and opposite his virgo 9th. Is that correct? If so, what would the significance be?

Any insights from you would be great.

To me he seems to be the perfect combination of things I like and find intriguing – like he was especially fashioned for me.

To some extent this is an unequal relationship, as I seem to be much more affected and even overwhelmed by him. He, in comparison, seems calm and cool. Perhaps that is an expression of the scorpion intensity (mine), but I am in danger of scaring him off.

I read somewhere that hard aspects with Saturn may indicate obstacles in being together such as distance or his work – could that be indicated by the above? These are major obstacles so far

Another thing which strikes me with your interpretations – since one can sift through and interconnect two people using so many different ways, it seems that positive connections could be found if we looked hard enough. Could there be in danger of fulfilling what one sets out to do, i.e., looking for signs of attraction as some interconnections are bound to emerge?

About Saturn, it's possible that this could indicate difficulties being together due to practical things. But it also inspires you to work hard on that, and it certainly doesn't make it impossible.

I saw that with this analysis you had reduced the things to check for symbolic matches (signs predominantly, while in older analysis you took the aspects of the the rulers into account more strongly).
I very much agree with this, it helps to really point out the BASICS.
I probably would only add the conjunction to that, as it colours the expression of the sign so strongly.

Example:
My friend`s 7th and 8th house ruler is in Aquarius conjunct Sun and MC.
Her partner has a close to exact Sun-Uranus-conjunction in Leo, and an exact conjunction of his chartruler Jupiter and NN in 10th house.

As a matter of fact his Sun-Uranus-conjunction in Leo is opposing her Sun-Saturn-MC-conjunction in Aquarius.
(Saturn rules her 7th and 8th house).
(the widest orb is the Sun-Sun opposition with 5°09, which I usually woudln´t count anymore, but since the other aspects are under 5 degrees, it wouldn`t make any sense to break up that pattern, just because the Sun-Sun is out of orb by 9 minutes).

This is what I am always thinking as well. And that is the reason why it is never enough to point out a single connection; the whole pattern has to be considered.

It`s a really BIG DEAL.
I`ve noticed that there are such a lot interconnections between 5th and 8th house in attractions; and quite often the aspects will not even be smooth (I have found the square quite often, along with the conjunction, though some also had the sextile and trine; Iwas just intrigued that the square didn`t seem to be detrimental to a possible attraction at all. Quite the opposite. But then again the tension of the square can be quite steamy in terms of sexual synastry).
