I just started reading about solar return charts and how they give you a general idea of where the "action" is going to be for the upcoming year. So naturally I decided to run a chart for myself and this is what I got!!! What the heck is with all the squares/oppositions EVERYWHERE!!!

I was hoping someone out there in Lindaland might be able to give me some insight because I am a tiny bit worried about these aspects. Should I be hiding under a rock for the year??

I have never ever seen a solar return with so many squares. Are you sure you put the info. in right?

Unfortunately, yes, I have triple checked the info and run it several times and it keeps coming up with the same thing

This does not look like it can be good

Honestly I am so sorry, I do not even know how to begin interpreting it. The only thing I can recommend to you is you go on grupovenus.com and enter your info. there and try to get the Solar Return reading done. It has some insightful definitions come out

Remain positive.

I would first recommend looking at all the planets and the houses they are in and starting from there to research the definitions.

Thanks, I'll try grupovenus. I think the thing that is worrying me most is that most of the planets are centred around my relationship houses (5,7,8) and career (10).

So maybe it will revamp all those areas in your life this year?
If you are in a long term relationship already it may be not so good but if you are not then it should be okay?

That's a good way to look at it except for the relationship part seeing as I've literally just started a relationship before my solar return so maybe it means it's not going to last. I guess time will tell.

I just tried grupovenus.com but it will not allow me to change the city unless I buy a ticket. I need to change the cities because I was born in Canada but now live in England.

I think I will just have to start doing a bit more research.

I know, it costs 6.60 euro for the ticket but they give you 11 free reports, so it is worth it IF you want to do all the other reports too or look at your solar returns for other years.

so if I'm reading this right... Grand Cross with Uranus, Pluto/Sun, Mars, then Jupiter.

How about this to think about: some of the most successful people in the world have Grand Crosses in their natal charts. Granted, there's a lot of hard work involved, but they do pull it off. Thought I remembered a specific example or two but it escapes me at the moment.

Assuming whole sign house system (which I'm examining more lately), I'm going to go on a limb and say personal prosperity is going to be contingent on some definite changes in social situations. Uranus in whole-sign 10th: Possible change in career or maybe change in duties (promotion after hard work maybe?) Whole-sign 4th, some assertion needed in the home life (Mars).

Assuming the houses as shown in the chart? I'm going to go out on a limb and suggest hopes and fears concerning goals (Uranus 11th, not entirely sure so take as you will); Personal prosperity still there, more with personal growth then with some property/money gain after hard work? (2nd house cusp and Jupiter). 5th house Mars, ... children involved? Offhand that's what I'm thinking but I could be off-base on that. Sun/Pluto in 7th (sun maybe close enough to factor to 8th house), yeah I'm definitely going to say some changes in how you relate with others.

Well, that's my take at a glance. Only complete doom and gloom if you make it that way. Not going to be a cakewalk though.

The only reason why I didn't pay for the reports is because the grupovenus website looked a bit dodgy.....like if I put in my credit card details next thing I know I would a ton of fraudulent charges on my credit card. I'm sure I'm just being paranoid. I'll probably buy the reports because my curiosity is getting the better of me!

Thanks so much for the interpretation, it definitely has shone a better light on all the hard aspects...I have to admit I nearly had a heart attack when I first saw my SR chart.

I've never heard of a grand cross. I'm definitely not against working hard (I have Capricorn sun and mars) if it means that I will end up in a better place whether financially, spiritually, mentally. It's funny that you mention career change because I am in the middle of that right now.

Do you know a good website that will explain more about grand crosses?

http://www.astro.com/mtp/mtpt73_e.htm looks like a good first case study for grand crosses.

Good luck with the career change! Sounds like you're already making solid changes for this year already.
