Oops nevermind this isn't about work, but a career. I think you feel overwhelmed by your current choice. There's indecision and a lack of choice. You currently feel confused or dissatisfied with current position, the SCHOOL, or something along those lines.

You feel you either have made the wrong choice, going down the wrong path, or lack some skills you feel a bit blocked from future plans. You feel oppressed in your current environment and can't seem to find a way out, a bit anxious/afraid of acting. The advice is to stop holding back, take a risk stop being scared :P and outcome looks positive, but you will need to have patience [7 of Pentacles]. Also, I don't think you will be happy in the beginning with the choice (maybe)

I definitely WAS angry for a long time. Not to brag, but I got into a top 5 grad program for creative writing three years ago (they took 6 students out of 700 apps). I was really excited at first, but slowly, I got disenchanted with a myriad of things -- mostly, that I was in poetry, when my first love (and my undergrad degree) was in TV writing and production. I'm in my final 6 months now, working on a thesis, which I just don't even want to finish... mostly because I have no idea where to begin. I want to get BACK into TV writing, esp. since I live in LA, but I have no idea how the hell to even start. I just know that when I sit down and write a spec script or read old text books, I feel more alive and happy then I have in a long, long time.

I think the oppression might be the fact that I have to move, complete a thesis, and am trying to switch careers... all at the same time (and with the same time limit of 6 months.) I'm unbelievably stressed, and as a result, haven't wanted to write, much less do anything work-wise (I am undergrad English instructor.) I just need to get off my ass and do stuff, in my opinion, but it's tough.

I am taking a leap and entering a few contests (which are the longest shots in the entire freakin' world)... so I know it won't go how I want, but I feel pretty confident that this is right for me. I just have no damn idea how to do it. That's why I sort of thought this spread was saying I had made the right decisions: I feel I was made to write for TV, hence the Lovers (balance, completion) and then the outcome manifesting as the 2 of Cups (a lesser version.) However, I am terrified of not having enough money to live off. That scares the crap out of me in the long run.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. I framed it as, if I choose to switch careers, will it be fortuitous? I take it as, I need to put my money where my mouth is and just do it, utilizing good old-fashioned hardwork and training. Also, this is what I've always been meant to do (and feel passionate about), and while it won't be exactly how I imagine it right out of the gate, it is going to put me on the path to success (or at least happiness.)

I like the empress and the ace of pents. Its a good omen for switching jobs. If you switch it will allow you to get in touch with your creative side and obviously its something new considering you pulled an ace. And the cause (the lovers) is the choice you are facing. As in to switch or not to switch lol

Now relevant past....I don't know if you were stressed or what but whatever is causing you to wanna switch, know that it was supposed to play out the way it was as the wheel of fortune indicates fate/destiny. The king os swords tells me that you are trying to look at this logically and rationally. I'm not entirely sure about the hierophant. That card always throws me for a loop lol all I know is it speaks of tradition. Is there a certain way you want things to play out for you simply bc that's the way its done?

The advice card is telling you to get more in touch with your emotions about it, that you may be too concerned with material interests and that's why you haven't done this sooner.

Shy-- I definitely would say the Page is indeed me trying to learn more. I've been researching updated formats, I bought a few books on the industry. I even started looking at UCLA's extension program. I just like to be educated and knowledgeable in what I do. It's the touch of Capricorn in me...

The Hierophant... idk. Tradition, me wanting to get it done "right." I have no idea. I am still in grad school for another career though, in English and Poetry, but that's winding down in 6 months.

This made lots of sense, and yeah, I am finally started to think about what I want to make me happy, versus how much money I can make. I want to live a creative, bohemian life... but because of my childhood, I crave financial security. In an unhealthy way. SO yeah, GOTTA NOT BE INSANE, lol.

haha, i like this! i don't have a reddit, but i am going to get one now. and that's one thing that i actually DO have experience. the last 3 years, my weeks consist of submitting work to a class of 10 people (your cohort) and having them literally look for all the flaws and tell you about them. rofl. i learned how to take criticism without it hurting, and i definitely learned how to defend/rail against other people's work. so ideally i can do that. plus, my chart is fire from beginning to end :P

Yes, the way I read them it doesn't matter if it's a major or minor, if it's air + earth = they are both reversed in my "system". But that's just my zany way of doing this =].
