I am curios as to how one can predict timing in a tarot reading and if the timing that is predicted really does happens.

I used to do a spread where the first card I put down was the present situation and the next card would represent the siuation in 3 months, then six months, and so on..

Or you could pull one card for each day, month, year...

I want to know more info about this too..

@ elixir I been done research and find it interesting that there are talented tarot readers who has the skill, but what about free will? Are the timing given is those type of readings accurate

I'm by no means good at telling time, or even close, but I will say if I set the parameters before I lay the cards (i.e., the first card's number represents X) it seems to work. I know some people attribute the suit to seasons, court card to months, etc. I do tell people that my readings only work for two months out AT MOST. I think the important thing is to find a rhythm and a means that works for you.

However, your use of "free will," (and I'm taking it out of context here) just reinforces what I've always believed. Tarot is telling you what could happen right at the time you ask, but everything, from the moment you end the reading... could change it. Free will and our mere existence dictates it all. Nothing's guaranteed. I dunno. That was remarkably unhelpful. C'est la vie. Here's a website: http://taroteon.com/how-to/three-ways-to-accurately-predict-when-events-will-happen/

@dyedye i know what you mean. when i first started out i felt uncomfortable with the thought of using tarot to tell time because of free will. and i think the reading depends on the moments energies and that can change anytime. i like to think of tarot as a psychological tool for self-developement. its one of the things that conflict me about using tarot...whether or not it should be used to tell time or predict the future..
